Abstract

Study feminism can not be separated from theological studies. Almost all religions have bad treatments against women. The position of women in some religions are placed as "The Second Sex" and that religion perceives something usually considered "as it should be" (what exactly), instead of "as it is" (whatever they are). Riffat Hassan and Amina Wadud form of interpreting the verses of the Qur'an which is far from the spirit of liberation theology with a feminine approach. Feminism is understood as the liberation of all the oppression of humanity. feminisme Studi tidak dapat dipisahkan dari studi teologi. Hampir semua agama memiliki perawatan yang buruk terhadap perempuan. Posisi perempuan dalam beberapa agama ditempatkan sebagai "The Second Sex" dan agama yang merasakan sesuatu yang biasanya dianggap "sebagaimana mestinya" (apa sebenarnya), bukan "karena" (apa adanya). Riffat Hassan dan Amina Wadud bentuk menafsirkan ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an yang jauh dari semangat teologi pembebasan dengan pendekatan feminin. Feminisme dipahami sebagai pembebasan dari penindasan kemanusiaan.

Abstract

there’s no such language that free from gender bias. Arabic language as Islamic religion holy book’s language has createdgender bias in all utilizing fiil (verb) and isim (noun), especially sura at an-Nisa’. gender bias verse at sura an-Nisa’ analyzed with semantictheory namely interpreting all character, word, and sentence that related with gender bias, chronologically and historically so we obtainunderstanding contextual meaning, not textual meaning. therefore, gender bias meaning at sura an-Nisa’ is not focused only on biologicalmeaning, namely only mudzakar (masculine) or muannats (feminine) but alsorelated with language’s soscial culture aspect that developedby its speaker community.

Abstract

Feminism point of view - as a modern deliberation of IXth century, coming from western is not a peculiar entity for eastern (read : Islam). The figure of Rasululloh SAW presents that Islam messenger has shown humanist characteristics for females particularly on behalf of wives and Islamic females in earlier era of Islam by respecting gender equality therefore the rights of politics, economy and social between males and females are regarded same, there are no discriminations just by the differences in sex and gender. Perspectives and morality characters shown by Rasululloh SAW to females in this writing is completed by performing explorations through historical and hadists texts concerning females around the Prophet and his best friends. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW is a profile of Prophet having feminist, non discriminative, humanist and universal ways of thinking.
