Abstract

Many students find difficult and uninteresting to learn mathematics. On the other hand, many teachers find problems in teaching certain concepts in mathematics. Consequently the learning achievement in mathematics in all grades is almost unsatisfactory. This classroom action research found an instructional model to overcome some problems faced by the students of the second grade at Pondok Rangon Primary School 02, East Jakarta. Applying this classroom action research in one cycle with two reflections, the teacher can improve the students’ learning achievement. This research suggests to do more modification of the instructional model in the following cycle to obtain better result.

Abstract

The students of Primary Education Teachers Education of S1 in the Scool of Education, State University of Jakarta, found difficulties in understanding and implementing of assessment concept in the course of Instructional Evaluation Development. This classroom action research which was conducted in 2008, aimed at overcoming the difficulties by using mind mapping startegy. Involving 70 students of Primary Teachers Education in theShcool of Education of State University of Jakarta, the research employed developing and improving instructional quality method following the classroom action research model introduced by Standford and Kemmis. At the end of the research it wa sfound out there ia a significant improvement of the students’ understanding in the assessment concept.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe team games tournament (TGT) dalam meningkatkan gerak dasar memukul bola siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan atau libary research untuk memperoleh data sesuai topik permasalahan dalam penelitian. Sumber data yang diambil adalah jurnal, skripsi terdahulu yang relevan, serta buku. Berdasarkan hasil kajian serta analisis pada sumber data, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe games tournament (TGT) dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga dan Kesehatan serta dapat meningkatkan gerak dasar memukul  bola pada siswa kelas tinggi sekolah dasar.
