Abstract

Abstrak tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui berapa kombinasi pupuk dosis urea, pupuk phonska dan pupuk hayati costum bio yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea L.). Penelitian lapangan disusun secara faktorial menggunakan rancangan dasar Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 level perlakuan dan 11 ulangan. Adapun level tersebut (A=Tanpa pupuk Urea dan Phonska, menggunakan Costum Bio 4 tablet/ha, B= Pupuk Urea 125 kg/ha, Phonska 100 kg/ha, Costum Bio 4 tablet/ha, Costum Bio 4 tablet/ha C= pupuk Urea 250 kg/ha, Phonska 200 kg/ha, Costum Bio 4 tablet/ha. perlakuan tanpa pupuk urea dan Phonska, menggunakan Costum bio 4 tablet/ha mempunyai berat daun yang dikonsumsi tertinggi, sedangkan berat daun yang dikonsumsi terendah diperoleh pada perlakuan pupuk urea 250 kg/ha, Phonska 200kg/ha, costum bio 4 tablet/ha. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa perlakuan tanpa pupuk urea dan phonska, menggunakan costum bio 4 tablet/ha merupakan kombinasi dosis pupuk yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea L.) Abstract

Abstracts Sustainable agriculture is the continuous production of food and fibre into the future while conserving the health of natural resources on and off the farm. It is important to find indicator as a tool to monitoring sustainability. There are two main methods of budgeting the nutrients balance of regional and national agricultural systems: soil-surface and farm-gate (OECD and EuroStat 2007; Oenema et al., 2003). The purpose of the paper is to discuse the importance of nitrogen balance as an indicator of agricultural sustainability and to propose the methods expalined by Viet-Ngu and Aluddin  (2009) as an alternative way to solve the defference of the two main methods. Key words: Sustainable agriculture, nitrogen balance, farm gate balance, soil surface balance.

Abstract

ABSTACTS The purpose of the article is to obtain understanding of how far is independence of science by philosophy of science and quantum theory point of view. From philosophy of science point of view, independence and objectivity of obtaining science is questionable because of acsiological, teteological, ethical aspects to support human needs. There is also evident in quantum physics theory supporting the subjectivity of the observers in examination during experiment. Subjectivity of obtaining science, therefore, must be intensively discuss in the field of metaphysics.

Abstract

Abstracts The main cause of confusion is people’s perception of what constitutes ‘agriculture’ and ‘sustainability’. The attributes of agriculture range from specific soil-plant interactions at the field level, to international trading arrangements at the global level. Despite the diversity in conceptualizing, there is some broad consistency among definitions. Definitions generally contain three important criteria (Pesek, 1994): (a) environmental quality and ecological soundness; (b) plant and animal productivity; and, (c) socio-economic viability. The definition makes scale of sustainability assessment  influencing the indicators selected. The purpose of the paper is to discuss agricultural sustainability at farm scale and to propose the way to measure management of sustainable agricultural system at farm scale as a complement for biophysical land survey. The indicators of sustainability selected should include indicators at the three requirements of agricultural sustainability. As consequency of using indices, it is suggested to union biophysical survey to measurement agricultural sustainabity in order to provide reasons that is undetected by indices way of measurement. Key words: sustainable agricultural system, agricultural sustainability, farm scale, indicator agricultural sustainability, sustainability indices.
