Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine and to investigate the effect of lexical knowledge of collocation towards student’s reading comprehension, the effect of grammar mastery towards student’s reading comprehension, and the effects of lexical knowledge of collocation grammar mastery altogether towards students’ reading comprehension. The method which used is a survey method. Sample was taken as many as 60 students with simple random technique. Data collected by test directly to the sample. Data analysis using descriptive statistics such finding mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and inferential statistics is to look for multiple regression by using ANOVA and coefficient table. This research was conducted from September to December. The results of this research explained that: 1) there are significant effects of lexical knowledge of collocation and grammar mastery altogether towards students’ reading comprehension skill. The result has shown Ftest = 3.665 > Ftable = 3.15 and Sig = 0.032 < 0.05, 2) there is a significant effect of lexical knowledge of collocation towards students reading comprehension skill. The result has shown the score of Sig = 0.043 < 0.05 and ttest = 2.068 while ttable = 1.64 ttest > ttable, 3) there is a significant effect of grammar mastery towards students’ reading comprehension skill. The result has shown the score of Sig = 0.044 < 0.05 and ttest = 2.056 while ttable = 1.64 ttest > ttable.Key Words : Lexical Collocation, Grammar Mastery, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to: find out the level of story questions in the Mathematics Student Book Grade VII Junior High School Level Curriculum 2013 Based on Bloom's Taxonomy. The place in this study is SMP Negeri 4 Parungpanjang, Bogor Regency, for the 2019-2020 school year. This research method uses a qualitative or descriptive method because it is carried out under natural conditions. The object of this research is a class VII student math book Revised Edition 2017 by Abdul Rahman As'ari, et al. The data collection method is carried out by means of documentation. The data analysis technique refers to the Bloom revised table of cognitive domains of Anderson and Krathwohl. The implementation of data validity uses 4 criteria, namely: (1) Degree of credibility, (2) Transferability, (3) Dependability, and (4) Certainty (confirmability). The results of the study show that those who contain the C1 category level 0%, those that contain the C2 category 4%, those that contain the C3 category 43%, those that contain the C4 category 24%, which contains the C5 category 16%, and which contains the C6 category 13%. The four dimensions of the cognitive process in question are the cognitive process "Understanding" / C-2, the cognitive process "Applying" / C-3, the cognitive process "Analyze" / C-4, the cognitive process "Evaluating" / C-5, and the cognitive process "Creating" / C-6. The suggestion for other researchers is to set the time when the research, because this research takes a long time. And it is also expected to choose a teacher who really understands Bloom's Taxonomy, and it is recommended to choose the right teacher because many teachers are busy (do not have free time)

Abstract

The rapid development of technology today has brought about many new challenges, one of which is the rise of cyberbullying and bullying behavior. Cases of cyberbullying or bullying can also occur within the school environment, fueled by the various forms of social media available. Students can easily access and use their social media accounts. Unfortunately, many of them have not yet learned how to use technology wisely. Being wise in using social media means understanding the language used in bullying behavior at school, as well as knowing how to prevent such behavior from occurring. An anti-bullying language awareness program was held at SMAN 16 Bekasi, involving 30 students. The program included both a pre-test and a post-test for participants. The main goal was to provide counseling and guidance to help students minimize or prevent incidents of cyberbullying or bullying within the school environment. To put this attitude into practice, a sustainable educational program is needed through continuous outreach activities. The planned follow-up mentoring sessions are expected to help students develop a better understanding of language use—particularly in preventing cyberbullying.
