Abstract

The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the women empowerment program implemented by Harmony Women Crisis Center (HWCC) Jombang Regency. Regarding the effectiveness of women empowerment of victims of domestic violence implemented by HWCC, a community named Sekar Arum was established. Consisting of 20 members at the beginning, there were only ten members left. A range of factors accounts for this decrease, despite its importance in developing financially autonomous women in order to prevent domestic violence due to economic factors. The organization optimally put all efforts and resources, such as competent, experienced resources, to assist the victim. Organizations related to the handling of domestic violence are expected to recruit competent employees with linear educational backgrounds. It is necessary to have employees with skills to provide psychological and legal assistance. It is also recommended to improve the collaboration and activity performance by involving village cadres in order to spread the movement in a more sustainable fashion in more villages. It is also necessary for HWCC to allocate special funds for women empowerment activities. Such funds can be proposed to the Department of Women and Children Protection of PPKB PPPA budget. The government should improve its collaboration with HWCC to provide psychological support and recover victims’ social function. Thus, the women victim of violence can be freed from public stigmatization. The regional government of Jombang Regency should take issues on women empowerment as its program focus.

Abstract

Stunting has become a serious health problem in Indonesia as it is associated with failure to thrive, brain development disorders, decreased mental abilities, poor health conditions, and low socio-economic capabilities. In 2020, the United Nations recorded that around 6.3 million Indonesian early childhood or toddler aged children experienced stunting, caused by nutritional deficiencies within the first two years of their lives, maternal malnutrition during pregnancy, and poor sanitation. Through the "Ibu Hebat Keluarga Sehat" (Great Mother, Healthy Family) program, which focuses on balanced nutrition education, it is hoped that the issue of stunting can be addressed by improving individuals' knowledge and skills. Posyandu cadres and PKK officials can implement the 10 common messages of balanced nutrition to combat stunting. Balanced nutrition, categorized by age, is also crucial for every family to know as it contributes to achieving a generation without stunting. This education includes 1. Providing knowledge on balanced nutritional health in addressing stunting and processing local food materials available in the Tambang Village into nutritious meals. 2. Conducting question-and-answer sessions with participants to assess their understanding of the provided material.

Abstract

Digitalization has become a crucial element in various sectors, including livestock farming. This article explores the optimization of digital marketing to enhance economic potential and minimize social disparities among farmers in Sumberdem Village, Wonosari District, Malang Regency. The majority of the village's residents work as livestock farmers, particularly goat farmers. However, there is a gap between younger farmers who have adopted modern technologies and others who have not. Through outreach programs and videography competitions, farmers were educated on business management, animal health, and digital marketing strategies. This approach aims to empower farmers to utilize technology for expanding market networks, improving productivity, and reducing economic disparities. The results of this program indicate increased digital skills among the community, the creation of more attractive livestock business branding, and more inclusive economic opportunities. By optimizing sustainable natural resources, this program is expected to comprehensively support the welfare of the Sumberdem Village community.
