Abstract

Background: The postpartum period has a unique meaning for a woman having children will give a positive value. Playing the role of a mother creates a feeling of need which indirectly creates these positive feelings. The postpartum period is a transition period in which physical and psychological changes occur. Objective: to determine the relationship between social support and changes in maternal depressive symptoms. Methods: This research design is a descriptive correlative research type with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples was 59 respondents using consecutive sampling technique. Collecting data using questionnaires and data analysis using chi-square. Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between social support factors and maternal depressive symptoms (0.04 < 0.05). Conclusions: Social support from husband and family can reduce maternal depressive symptoms in postpartum mother.

Abstract

Introduction: The low coverage of breastfeeding, especially exclusive breastfeeding, is caused by several factors including the low knowledge of mothers about the benefits of breastfeeding and proper breastfeeding methods, lack of lactation counseling services, lack of support from health workers, socio-cultural perceptions against breastfeeding, working mothers and Formula milk marketing influences the thinking of mothers and health workers. Method: This study uses a quantitative approach, the method used in this study is a quasi-experimental with the type of one-group pre test design.. Results: the Wilcoxon signed ranks test showed that there were significant differences before and after the intervention was carried out on the two dependent variables with p-value = 0.001. This shows that there is a significant influence between the Effect of Health Education Using Audio Visual Media on the Behavior of Postpartum Mothers in Lactation Management. Discussion: Providing audio-visual education on the behavior of postpartum mothers in lactation management is one of the efforts to increase the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding and reduce morbidity (illness) rates in infants. Abstract

Introduction : Breastfeeding is a natural process, but in reality not all mothers can breastfeed their babies with the correct technique. Lactation failure caused by improper breastfeeding techniques can have a negative impact on the mother and baby. Research Objective: to analyze the effect of breastfeeding technique education on lactation success. Method: This research is a quasi-experimental research with a one group pretest and posttest design. Sampling was carried out by consecutive sampling Results: The results of the study showed that there was an effect of education on breastfeeding techniques before and after education was provided on the success of lactation in postpartum mothers (p<0.05). Discussion: The role of midwives is really needed in the early weeks postpartum in providing Counseling, Information and Education (KIE) about good and correct breastfeeding techniques.
