Abstract

This study aims to show the role of moral-ethical education for pastors in carrying out their calling duties as servants of the people, by referring to the pastor's competence to seek and save "lost sheep" but also efforts to protect people from various moral and ethical problems that often occur in congregation. The research method used is descriptive narrative method, which is a method that describes or describes experiences or events that will be examined in the form of narration or storytelling through a qualitative approach, so that it can be used to examine the status of a human group, an object, a set of conditions, a system of thought or an event class. This qualitative approach is used as a problem-solving procedure that will be examined by describing the subject-object situation, now based on the facts that appear in the study. The research was conducted to look at various moral and ethical violations that can occur to anyone, including the life of a pastor so it can be concluded that pastors have an obligation to develop their moral and ethical vocation by actively training themselves to assess morals and ethics in the community of believers , as well as guardians to maintain morals and ethics to later become a good example for the congregation and the community by responding positively to various violations that occur not only through the punishment approach, but also with an educational approach that is systemic, holistic, and comprehensive can be used as a way Exit.

Abstract

Education today is indeed a serious concern of every individual. This explains that each individual is eligible to go to school so that later they will get a better level of progress. Because that's the best way to get a good education, it must be done in various ways by each individual, who certainly has his own way to be able to develop it. Therefore, in this writing. Clearly want to direct how the role of parents in the development of children's education in the midst of the Christian family, so that with the role of parents in each process of children's education, especially in the implementation of Christian Religious Education in the family, children can achieve a better future. On the other hand the role of parents in children's Christian education in the family is very important, in efforts to raise, educate, and guide their children, and are required to build a family or household in order to motivate children to try and do good. This illustrates that as Christian parents, they must be able to take responsibility in developing each child's inner development and set an example so that children can grow in the Christian faith and fear God.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of students' motivation in following theological education and their commitment to become pastors. This research is a quantitative study using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to measure and analyze data obtained from questionnaires distributed to students. The research subjects were students of the Theology Faculty - UKIM. The results showed that: there was a positive and significant influence on the students' motivation in following theology education and their commitment to be pastors in the congregation. This concludes that with a strong student motivation in following theological education, then his commitment to become a pastor is a great opportunity. Thus it can be shown that there is hope for students that when they graduate, they can develop their theological education in accordance with their commitment to become pastors in the congregation.
