Abstract

BMN has meaning of all assets acquired from APBN expenses or other legal acquisitions. Politeknik Negeri Batam is required to manage, use and maintain in order to get benefit from these assets. Utilization of technology is an absolute solution in this management. The current management system works conventionally whereby an inventory number is printed on a label in each item. A difficulty found when it uses to track and check for inventory during daily usage or maintenance. A BMN QR code-based system is proposed which consists of two applications, namely web and mobile. The application was developed using an iterative prototyping method in order to get speed and accuracy according to user needs. The mobile application uses to quickly access goods data by scanning the item code, while a web application with a QR Code generator used to manage item data and create a QR Code based on the code item. Mobile applications were developed using the Ionic Framework, while web applications were built with AngularJS. The application testing results show that all defined functionalities can function and meet user needs.

Abstract

Indonesia is one country with a high level of natural disasters, such as earthquakes, so the dissemination of information about early warning is very important.. Social media Twitter became one of the places of broadcasting information about earthquake disaster early instruction in Indonesia through BMKG account. However, the quality of information from Twitter's social media is unknown, therefore visualization is made to analyze the quality of information with Twitter social media. This research is done in three stages: retrieving, preprocessing and visualization. Retrieval process to capture BMKG Tweet account data on Twitter. Preprocessing phase of work to get the results of the analysis of the quality of earthquake information. After that done data processing timeliness, relevance, completeness of data along with the accuracy of data created based on graphical visualization information.

Abstract

The dry season in Batam brings the threat of drought. The dry season has an impact in the form of the threat of fires in settlements and protected forests in the Rempang and Galang Islands, Batam. Based on the survey and analysis activities in 2018, it is known that residential areas in Pasir Panjang Village often experience fires, however, residents do not yet have the knowledge and ability to handle early fire disasters. In the 2018 community service activities, socialization was carried out with the Batam City Fire Service, but it had not yet reached the technical realm. Fire handling training is required for residents with fire extinguishers, however, residents' access to this tool is still limited and the price is quite expensive. This activities has produced an application prototype based on augmented reality to simulate the use of a fire extinguisher as a media for educating citizens. The application prototype has been tested and can serve as a training medium for residents. In addition, this community service program also provides training and assistance in handling in a fire disaster.

Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 virus at this time, which has reached the level of apandemic, has had a huge impact on many sectors, and one of them is theeducation sector. All students starting from elementary, middle, high school,and also the Batam College itself turned into online study through mediaconference. Therefore, it is necessary to have adequate and cost-effectiveinternet access, to assist the smooth process of learning and teaching. One ofthem is the need for cheap internet access that can reach the homes of residentswho have students, and also cheap. For this reason, in this final project, wewill design a Voucher-Based Hotspot Management System Using Mikrotik onan Rt/Rw-Net Network in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era. In this final project, theresearch method used is qualitative research. Respondents in this study werelocal residents in the Villamas housing RT 02, and the final result of thisresearch is a hotspot system that will be used by working officer and localstudents to be able to access the internet for online learning purposes.

Abstract

PT Tropical Electronic is the one of the companies that contributed to industrial growth in Batam City. The company which is manufacturing digital scales is a member of the Digi Group. The company profile video was created to introduce PT Tropical Electronic as a company that manufactures digital scales in Indonesia. Also, the video will be made with the agreement of the company. The video will be made based on the Villamil Molina method which consists of 5 stages, there are development, pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery. For editing, PT Tropical Electronic's company profile video will be edited by applying masking techniques with blurred effects. Furthermore, quantitative research was carried out by distributing questionnaires to get audience response to PT Tropical Electronic's company profile video. The questionnaire was made in the form of attitude measurement using a Likert Scale.

Abstract

Making a Motion Graphic on the procedure for implementing this Umrah is a form of information media that is made to keep up with technological developments. The design of this motion graphic is intended to help prospective Umrah pilgrims with less reading interest. By delivering interesting and interactive media, it is hoped that it can increase interest in learning, and make it easier to understand the correct Umrah procedures. The design of this application uses the Luther-Sutopo method with several stages, namely, concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution. In motion graphics, there are typography, back sound, dubbing and instruments. The result of this research is Motion Graphic Umrah procedure at PT. Rhean Citra Oetama presented in MP4 format. The results of the analysis of alpha testing and beta testing by getting an average percentage value of 86% and 89%, where the percentage value falls into the category of response scale strongly agrees. Based on the alpha and beta tests that have been carried out, the motion graphic video at PT Rhean Citra Oetama as a learning medium can convey information on Umrah procedures and prospective Umrah pilgrims understand and understand Umrah procedures. Make it easier for prospective Umrah pilgrims to understand and learn and memorize prayers before carrying out the Umrah worship.

Abstract

The imbalance between labor supply and demand often leads to unemployment in a given region. The unemployment rate serves as a key indicator to assess the overall health of the economy. Utilizing Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) as a predictive tool has emerged as a reliable solution to forecast unemployment rates in Batam City, using 7 input parameters. The methodology employed in this predictive model is the Backpropagation algorithm. This involves dividing the dataset into two distinct components: training data, consisting of 4 parts, and the remaining data set aside for testing purposes. This division results in a substantial allocation of 95% for training data and a significant 79% for testing data. The accuracy achieved by this model forms the basis to evaluate its potential success in forecasting unemployment rates for the upcoming year. By harnessing the capabilities of Artificial Neural Networks and employing the Backpropagation methodology, it is possible to predict unemployment rates in Batam City. The outcomes of this analytical approach can serve as a reference to address labor imbalance issues, while also providing a pragmatic tool to enhance economic planning and policy formulation for a more sustainable future.
