Abstract

AbstrakDinamaika perguruan tinggi dewasa ini menghadapi beragam tantangan berat, mulai dari persaingan antar perguruan tinggi untuk menjaring mahasiswa, hingga kewajiban untuk memenuhi berbagai standar akreditasi, sebagaimana Standar Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (SNPT) di Indonesia.Kajian ini berupaya mencari alternatif sistem pengukuran kinerja organisasi yang relevan dan efektif guna menjamin kinerja institusi perguruan tinggi, terutama swasta di Indonesia, agar mampu bertahan menghadapi berbagai tantangan di atas.Tiga model pengukuran kinerja organisasi, yaitu Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Integrated Performance Measurement Systems (IPMS), dan Performance Prism dibahas dan dikaji potensi pemanfaatannya pada sektor pendidikan tinggi. Hasil kajian menyimpulkan bahwa Performance Prism, yang memberikan titik berat lebih pada pemangku kepentingan (stakeholders), merupakan model pengukuran kinerja yang paling sesuai untuk institusi pendidikan tinggi, meskipun penelitian empiris untuk membuktikan hal ini masih sangat diperlukan.Kata kunci : Sistem Manajemen Kinerja,Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Standar Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (SNPT)AbstractThe university's dynamic nowadays is carried out by a variety of challenges, ranging from competition among universities to attract students, to the obligation to meet various accreditation standards, the provision of National Standards of Higher Education (SNPT) in Indonesia.This study is in accordance with the procedures available and effective to guarantee high performance, in Indonesia, in order to survive the challenges above. The three organizational performance models, namely Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Integrated Performance Measurement Systems (IPMS), and Performance Prism are covered and assessed their potential utilization in the higher education sector. The results of the study concluded that Prism Performance, which gives more emphasis to stakeholders, is the most appropriate model of performance measurement for higher education institutions, lacking empirical to prove this is still urgently needed.Keywords: Performance Management System, National Standard of Higher Education (SNPT)
