Abstract

This research was based by the understanding of mathematical concept and students are less able to express the idea with creatively and scientifically. This research aim to determine whether students’ understanding of mathematical concept by applying learning models of articulation beginning with constructivism approach is better than the students’ understanding of mathematical concept with the application of conventional learning at class twelve grade students of SMKN 2 Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok School-Year 2013/2014. Type of research is experimental research. Population of research are students at twelve grade SMKN 2 Gunung Talang School-Year 2013/2014. The sampling technique is done randomly whith  class XII Akuntansi was chosen ekperimental class and class Marketing was control class. The instrument used in this study was final test with indicator of understanding the mathematical concept. Form of test used is a form of essay to amount seven question with a reliability test . Hypothesis testing used a t-test. The results of the data analysis obtained from  and  , it can be concluded that the students’ understanding of mathematical concept with application of learning models of artikulasi beginning whith constructivism aproach was better than the students understanding of mathematical concept with conventional learning at twelve grade students SMKN 2 Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok School-Year 2013/2014.

Abstract

Condition of study of elementary school specially social science at the moment still using many model learn conventionally, student only becoming teacher and object only expecting student sit to be kept quiet, hear and note without asking for student find by self existing problems. As a result lackluster student oftentimes and feel saturated in study so that result of learning of lowering. To increase result and activity learn student in study of IPS  conducted by research of class action by using model Cooperative Learning Tipe Group Investigation. From the research, the second cycle of cognitive learning outcomes with an average grade of 85.1, the number of students who complete 26 students and 3 students who have not completed the percentage of students passing grade is 89.6%. student learning outcomes of affective aspects with an average grade 85.8, the number of students who pass is 26 and who have not completed 3 students, with a percentage of 89.6% mastery learning students, and student learning outcomes of psychomotor aspect with an average grade 85, the number of students who pass are 26 students and 3 students who have not completed the percentage of students passing grade is 89.6%.  Kata Kunci: Ilmu PengetahuanSosial; Hasil Belajar; Cooperative Learning Tipe Group Investigation
