Abstract

The purpose of this study is to first determine the performance of school supervisors in SMA Negeri 1 Suboh, second, to know the role of school supervisors to improve the quality of education in SMA Negeri 1 Suboh.This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Suboh which is located at Jalan Pawiyatan No. 04 Buduan, Suboh District, Situbondo Regency for 3 months, from September to November 2020The population or the whole research subject, if someone wants to examine all the elements that exist in the research area (Suharsimi Arikunto .2002) and the sample or part or representative of the population studied (Suharsini Arikunto.2002) in this study all the teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Suboh, amounting to 37 teachersTo get this data and information, the writer uses several data collection techniques, namely: 1). Observation; Observations were made by observing the condition of schools, facilities and infrastructure as well as other supporting data at SMA Negeri 1 Suboh. 2). Questionnaire; namely data collection techniques by asking questions accompanied by the answer choices that have been provided. The form of the questionnaire used is a direct closed questionnaire in the form of multiple choice, and respondents are asked to choose one of the available answers. 3) Interview; namely the technique of collecting data by holding questions and answers between researchers and the supervisor of the principal of SMA Negeri 1 Suboh related to the problems discussed and researched.Based on the results of research that has been carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Suboh and the discussion in previous chapters, the conclusions that can be obtained from this research are: 1) The supervision system at SMA Negeri 1 Suboh by the school supervisor is going well, this can be seen from the percentage results positive in distributing questionnaires to teachers. 2. School supervisors carry out supervision using supervisory techniques so that supervision runs effectively. 3. The supervisory function is very helpful for teachers in improving teaching methods, so that the ideals of achieving quality educational goals can be realized.
