Abstract

Improving critical thinking in science classes can be accomplished by developing reasoning thinking approaches. The goal of studying science reasoning in science classes is to see how much of this strategy is used in solving science problems and developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) that are based on critical thinking. Between 2015 and 2021, a total of 100 articles were retrieved from the Google Scholar database and the Publishing or Perish (PoP) program. Mendeley desktop, a referencing management software, was then used to handle the selected references. Once the database was handled, this research employed VOS viewer software to categorize and visualize it. In general, this study provides a solid foundation for further research into "science reasoning."

Abstract

This research aims to developing STEM-AR-based e-book teaching materials to improve students' scientific reasoning in ecology and biodiversity materials. The development of this research is important as a parameter of 21st-century abilities, which require students to have 4C abilities to face the education era of 4.0. This research method uses Research and Development (R&D). The R&D design chosen was Thiagarajan design consisting of four stages (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) (Thiagarajan, 1974). Class VII students (N = 42) were involved as research subjects who were taken by the purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through scientific reasoning tests, student response questionnaires, and observation sheets. Data processing techniques used paired sample T-tests and then performed the N-gain test. The results of the analysis show that after using the STEM-AR-based e-book, there is an increase in scientific reasoning ability, with an N-Gain value of 63% in the medium category. Testing the effectiveness of teaching materials using the SPSS paired sample t-test showed a result of 0.001, which means that STEM-AR-based teaching materials affect students' scientific reasoning. The descriptive average of scientific reasoning has increased by 40%. In addition, students gave positive responses to teaching materials, which made it easier to understand the material

Abstract

Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) merupakan program prioritas nasional pemerintahan Indonesia periode 2024-2029 yang menargetkan 82,9 juta peserta didik dengan anggaran 71 triliun rupiah. Namun, implementasinya menghadapi tantangan berupa minimnya edukasi literasi gizi yang menyertai pemberian makanan, sehingga siswa hanya menjadi penerima pasif. SMP Al Ijtihad Cimayang Kabupaten Bogor sebagai mitra pengabdian menghadapi permasalahan tersebut, meliputi: belum tersedianya media edukasi gizi yang kontekstual, guru IPA belum mampu mengintegrasikan pembelajaran gizi dengan kearifan lokal pangan, serta rendahnya literasi gizi siswa. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah edukasi literasi gizi berbasis EthnoSTEM-Gamifikasi, mencakup: pelatihan guru IPA, sosialisasi literasi gizi melalui Card Game Edukatif berbasis EthnoSTEM, dan pendampingan penggunaan modul serta card game dalam mendukung program MBG. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan participatory action melalui workshop sehari dengan peserta 5 guru IPA dan 20 siswa kelas VIII. Target luaran meliputi peningkatan pengetahuan guru minimal 80%, peningkatan literasi gizi siswa minimal 75%, tersedianya media edukasi di sekolah mitra, serta publikasi ilmiah. Kegiatan ini merupakan diseminasi hasil penelitian dosen yang telah menghasilkan Modul IPA dan Card Game Edukatif berbasis EthnoSTEM yang telah tervalidasi. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model edukasi gizi yang dapat direplikasi di sekolah pelaksana MBG lainnya.
