Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikanxkarakterxmerupakanxbentuk kegiatanxmanusia yangxdi dalamnyaxterdapat suatu tindakan yangxmendidik diperuntukkanxbagixgenerasi selanjutnya. Tujuan pendidikan karakter adalah untuklmembentuk penyempurnaan dirixindividu secaraxterus-menerus danxmelatih kemampuanxdiri demixmenuju kearahxhidup yangxlebihxbaik. Pembelajaran daring tidakldilakukan denganltatap muka,vsehingga menjadixltantangan guruxldalam prosesxlpendidikanxlkarakter tersebut, darixsisi lainxakan memberikanxkesempatan bagixpeserta didikxdalam mengaktualisasikanxnilai karakter yang adaxpada dirinyaxdi mataxmasyarakat dalamlupaya keikutsertaanlpencegahan dan penanggulangan Covid-19. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dimana untuk mengmbanrakan mengenai pendidikanxkarakterxvyang dilakukanxlketika pembelajaran masih berlangsung denganxmetode daringxpada SMPxdengan menerapkanxstrategixpendidikan karakter multiplle intelligences berbasis portofolio. Kata kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Pembelajaran Daring, Pandemi Covid-19 Abstract Character education is a form of human activity in which there is an educational action intended for the next generation. The purpose of character education is to shape individual self-improvement continuously and train one's abilities towards a better life. Dominant learning is not carried out face-to-face, so it becomes a challenge for teachers in the character education process, on the other hand it will provide opportunities for students to actualize character values in society in an effort to participate in the prevention and control of Covid-19. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with literature that attempts to provide a solution to how character education is carried out when learning is still ongoing using the online method in junior high schools.
