Abstract

Developing disciplined character from an early age through structured religious activities is a crucial aspect of character education. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method directly involves teachers, researchers, and students in mentoring activities. The purpose of this community service is to foster consistent worship habits in students, instill discipline through regularity in the timing and procedures for congregational prayer, and strengthen synergy between teachers, students, and the community in developing religious character. Congregational prayer is not only understood as an obligatory act of worship but also as a means of character education that fosters discipline, responsibility, and togetherness. The research results indicate that the habit of congregational Dhuhr prayer has a positive effect on developing student discipline, as evidenced by regular attendance on time, adherence to the rules of worship, and consistency in carrying out obligations together. Furthermore, this activity also strengthens religious culture within the school environment. Thus, congregational prayer can be an effective strategy for instilling discipline and fostering students' religious character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the phenomenon of Pop Sufism on Instagram represents the process of commodification of religion while simultaneously forming a new construction of religious lifestyle through visual, symbolic, and narrative strategies in the digital space. This study uses a netnography method to observe the culture and behavior of Instagram users in representing Sufism through digital content, with the researcher positioned as an observer as a participant. The research object focused on two accounts, @arahbatin and @alfilosufiyah_institute, with data in the form of posts, captions, and user interactions analyzed using the theory of commodification and Islamic Lifestyle. The analysis aims to understand the paradox of pop Sufism which simultaneously opens access to Islamic spirituality and shows the process of commodification of religion in modern digital culture. This study found that pop Sufism on Instagram is the result of the transformation of culture, media, and religion in the digital era, which changes Sufism teachings from deep spiritual practices to popular knowledge in the form of quotes and aesthetic visuals. This phenomenon demonstrates the process of commodification of religion, where spiritual values shift into social exchange values through likes, shares, and online religious images. The two accounts, @alfilosufiyah_institute and @arahbatin, represent two faces of pop Sufism one cosmopolitan and universal, the other contextual and everyday as expressions of a modern religious lifestyle.

Abstract

This research aims to comparatively analyze the relationship between religious fatwas and state regulations in the Sharia stock screening system in Indonesia and Malaysia. Using a qualitative approach and juridical-normative method, this research is supported by three theoretical frameworks: legal pluralism, normative authority, and comparative law. The results show that Indonesia applies a dualistic model where the DSN-MUI fatwa serves as a moral reference, which is then partially accommodated by OJK regulations. In contrast, Malaysia adopts an integrative approach through the SAC-SC, which functions as an official state institution with legally binding authority. Significant differences are also found in the financial indicators, where Malaysia sets stricter debt and non-halal income ratio limits consistent with international standards such as AAOIFI. These findings reflect the different epistemological and institutional approaches to internalizing Shariah principles into the capital market system. This research contributes to the study of Islamic economic law by offering a new understanding of the ideal form of relationship between regulation and fatwa in supporting the integrity and legitimacy of Islamic capital markets.
