Abstract

The planning and designing of Game Developer and Otaku Centre in Yogyakarta is caused by local game development industry progress in Indonesia, including in Yogyakarta, which is not followed by availabilty of supporting facilities in professional game development as well as the unavailability of game development industry existence signifier. Game developer and Otaku centre is game developers workspace and Otaku gathering space that provides game development industry supporting facilities and involves Otaku as game player and game creator. There are several design issues in planning and designing of game developer and Otaku centre, (1) how the space programming concept of game developer and Otaku centre could support the game developers activities and stimulate the emergence of creative ideas, and (2) how the building appearance concept could be a signifier of local game developers existence and game characters. The approach used in planning and designing is Camp idiomatic aesthetic by using rubic cube as analogy of game characters that composed through the process of deformation, distortion, and duplication of material, in this case are rubic cube and game characters. Design decisions obtained through the analysis process are the design of game developers workspaces, co-working areas for game developers beginners, community meeting rooms, local game marketing rooms, and entertainment areas accommodated in a building complex with monumental scale and dynamic form.

Abstract

Facilities development of Green Canyon Tourism area in Cijulang are motivated by increasing number of visitors every year who tour to Green Canyon, the lack of education facilities, the lack of facilities which acommodate activities dan fulfil visitors convenience, so the purpose of this design is to get a building design that can fulfill the needs and visitors convenience and also accommodate information and education activity by considering environment sustainability of Green Canyon area. The Design’s issue is how to develop facility that suits with the needs and convenience also accommodate infomation and education activity into Green Canyon area’s design. Methods used is sustainable architecture methods. The result is an area design that contain tourism accomodation facility, education and information facility that concern the tourist convenience by applying Architecture Sustainable through waste treatment; mass management in contour which regard to direction of openings to exploit view, orientation, lighting and ventilation into the area; material choice which easily found around the area and renewable; energy efficiency which considering maximizing natural lighting and ventilation in transformation mass building proccess. Keywords: Area Development, Natural Tourism, Sustainable Architecture, Tourism Area, Tourism Facility.

Abstract

Designing Malang Ceramic Craft Center in Malang City motivated by the potential of ceramics craft, which currently increasing, support the efforts of the Malang City government to raising tourism, as well as Malang as one of the producers of ceramics craft that do not have an adequate infrastructure of tourism education and marketing. The purpose of this architectural planning is to provide a place for tourist, so that they can fulfill the tourism needs and to give the information about ceramics craft, as well as to help raising the income of Malang City through the marketing of ceramics craft. The issue of the design are: how to build Malang Ceramic Craft Center with the application of Regionalism Architecture for the building planning. The approach used in determining the design is by using the concept of Regionalism Architecture which is applied in form and fasade building, the pattern of mass arrangement, as well as the material and structure building. The result obtained is the design of an education tourism facilities that is Malang Ceramic Craft Center with Regionalism Architecture approach, which can visible in the use of Javanese traditional rooftop, joglo, the use of building color as an adjustment with buildings around, the mass form in accordance with the mass form of Javanese building, the application of ceramics craft ornament on building, the use of sculpture in accordance with the material object symbol and the use of local material on building.  Keywords: Ceramic Craft, Fasade Building, Local Culture. Abstract

Pulmonary Hospital Design with healing environment approach in Sragen is motivated by the increase in cases of lung disease in Sragen caused by viruses, bacteria, unhealthy lifestyle, and declining air quality. However, Sragen doesn’t have yet a health facility that specialized in pulmonary and respiratory diseases, so the aim of this plan is to create a health facility in Sragen which is form Pulmonary Hospital. Design issue is how to apply the concept of healing environment on the elements of space that can reduce the impact of fear for the patient and landscape arrangement to be one of healing therapy. The method used is architectural design method. Pulmonary Hospital design is the result of the analysis of space requirements, the processing site, the order of mass, mass composition, arrangement of space, and processing landscape by using a healing environment to help the recovery of the patient physically and psychologically.

Abstract

Dutch colonial architecture that developed in Indonesia, throughout the colonial period (around the 17th century to 1942) was a combination of colonial and local culture to respond to the Indonesian climate. Dutch colonial architecture in Indonesia is a work of Dutch colonial heritage in Indonesia during the colonial period. The result was the Dutch East Indies style with a "colonial" image and adapted to the local environment that responded to climate. Colonial architecture grafted architecture from European countries into colonies. The aspects of Dutch colonial architecture in the "Pendopo Puri Mangkunegran" building were studied to find out the elements of Dutch colonial architecture. "Pendopo Puri Mangkunegarn" is a vernacular architecture / Javanese architecture with a pillar structure system, allegedly there is an architectural element from the outside due to acculturation. The results of this study will be encouraged to know aspects of Dutch colonial architecture in the "Pendopo Puri Mangkunegaran" building from aspects of floor plans, structures, materials and other architectural elements. The results of this study are also expected to contribute knowledge in the field of architecture related to acculturation of foreign cultures that have an impact on local architecture.
