Abstract

Mahasiswa calon guru Biologi harus dibekali dengan kemampuan untuk melakukan proses sains dan kegiatan ilmiah sendiri melalui kegiatan praktikum inkuiri agar kelak bisa mengelola kegiatan laboratorium di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan praktikum salah satunya pada mata kuliah Biologi Umum dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui sikap  ilmiah  dan motivasi mahasiswa  Biologi  pada pelaksanaan  praktikum Biologi Umum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing Tahun Akademis 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2014-Januari 2015 di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP Abdi Pendidikan Payakumbuh. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data sikap ilmiah mahasiswa adalah berupa angket dan lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa selama melakukan kegiatan praktikum. Data motivasi mahasiswa dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar angket motivasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan kegiatan praktikum Biologi Umum berbasis pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan sikap ilmiah dan motivasi mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum Biologi Umum.Kata Kunci: Inkuiri Terbimbing, Biologi Umum, Sikap Ilmiah,  Motivasi belajar

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the knowledge of students of SMP Negeri 3 Payakumbuh District on the types, efficacy and ways of utilizing medicinal plants found in the school environment. The method in this study is a survey method. Sampling was done by taking 15% of all students in class VII and class VIII and obtained as many as 41 students. Data collection on students' knowledge of the types, benefits and methods of processing medicinal plants was carried out using a questionnaire. The results showed that 68.0% of SMP Negeri 3 Payakumbuh students knew the types of medicinal plants in the school environment with knowledge categorized as knowing, as many as 66.0% of students knew about the benefits of medicinal plants categorized as knowing, and 69, 9% of students know that processing medicinal plants is categorized as knowing. Conclusion, most students have knowledge about medicinal plants in the school environment with a category level to know, starting from the types, benefits and ways of managing medicinal plants. Abstract

This study aims to determine the innovations and strategies carried out by science teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Payakumbuh in carrying out online learning in the atmosphere of the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is descriptive-quantitative through the distribution of questionnaires and interviews with science teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Payakumbuh. The results showed that teacher innovation with high criteria was at the preparation stage (88.02%) and learning implementation (79.16%) and teacher innovation was very high at the learning evaluation stage (89.58%). Teachers also carry out planning strategies, tactics and pattern strategies in dealing with various obstacles in implementing online science learning. In conclusion, science teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Payakumbuh innovate at every stage of online learning. Keywords: Innovation, Science Vocational High School Learning, Strategy

Abstract

This study aims to produce Islamic-based Student Worksheets (LKS) on reproductive system material for class XI students that are valid and practical. This research method uses the development method, using the 4-D (four D) model, define, design, develop, and deploy. Given the limitations of the authors, this study only uses three stages of development, namely the define, design, and develop stages. The results of the study explain the processing of questionnaire validation data, resulting in a percentage of 97.3% belonging to the very valid category. The results of the practicality questionnaire test for teacher responses were 88% in the category of very practical results and 85% of students' responses to practicality were in the very practical category. In conclusion, the worksheets developed have very valid qualities and are very practical for use by teachers and students, so they are suitable for use as learning worksheets in the subject of Islamic Biology Reproductive Systems Keywords: Biology Student Work Institute, Islam, Reproductive System

Abstract

The problem of low motivation and student learning outcomes in Biology after the Covid-19 pandemic is still found at SMAN 1 Payakumbuh District. In this study a flipped classroom type hybrid learning model was used combined with the use of the kahoot! game application. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental quantitative approach with a one shot case study design in class XI MIPA 1 students totaling 32 people. Data were collected using motivational questionnaires and objective questions to measure student learning outcomes. The results of the study show the use of the flipped classroom type hybrid learning model combined with the use of the kahoot! effective effect on increasing motivation and student learning outcomes in Biology subject, besides that the use of this model also has a positive effect on student independence in learning.
