Abstract

Iron (Fe) doped titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films have been successfully deposited by using spin coating technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) were employed to characterize the microstructure and crystallite morphology of the films. It was indicated that the rutile crystal orientation appears due to increasing annealing temperature of the thin films. Furthermore, increasing annealing temperature of the thin films yielded an increasing of porosity value which is related to the application on gas sensor films.

Abstract

An infant incubator utilizing a non-electrical heater element and an add-on temperature and relative humidity controlling unit has been produced. Copper pipe in planar spiral construction which usually found as a radiator element in refrigerator was used as the heater element. Once the hot water filled into the element, it will served as heat energy source for (40 x 58 x 40) cm3volume of incubator’s baby compartment. Compartment’s performance (P) in providing the heat energy was to be found as 0.4 J/s and the average constant temperature achievable was 34.2 oC. Two of LM35 ICs were operated as dry and wet sensor each and served as the input for temperature and humidity quantities for baby’s compartment. These both sensors were set by CV-AVR package program which then was loaded into the ATMega8535 chip. An LCDscreen of 20x2 matrices was then used in displaying these both quantities. Dry and wet temperature sensors which were used to acquire the value of air temperature and relative humidity within baby’s compartment to be found have sensitivity value of 0.02 0.01 volt/oC and 0.03 0.01 volt/oC, each.

Abstract

Material penyerap gelombang mikro mempunyai peran penting dalam perkembangan teknologi anti-radar, anti-electromagnetic interference dan komunikasi tanpa kabel. Pembuatan komposit nano zn-ferit dilakukan menggunakan metode reaksi padatan dengan komposisi 80 Fe3O4 : 20 ZnO dalam persen mol dan pengaruh medan magnet luar. Zn-Ferit disintering pada temperatur 500, 800 dan 1100 ºC. Karakterisasi struktur, sifat magnetik dan absorpsi gelombang mikro pada ferit dilakukan masing-masing menggunakan XRD, VSM dan VNA. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan bahwa intensitas fasa nano kristal ZnFe2O4 yang terbentuk meningkat dengan peningkatan temperatur sintering. Sifat magnetik yang meliputi magnetisasi remanen (Mr) dan magnetisasi saturasi (Ms) mengalami penurunan, sedangkan medan koersivitas (Hc) mengalami peningkatan dengan meningkatnya temperatur sintering. Ferit yang disintering pada 800 °C menujukkan performa yang baik dengan ditandai nilai reflection loss (RL) sebesar -69 dB pada frekuensi 16,9 GHz.

Abstract

Kebugaran fisik adalah kemampuan tubuh untuk menjalankan aktifitas sehari-hari tanpa mengalami kelelahan. Di masa pandemi, dimana diterapkan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh, terdapat masalah penurunan kebugaran fisik pada banyak siswa SMPIT Harapan Bunda Purwokerto yang ditandai dengan siswa mengeluh cepat lelah. Tujuan dari kegiatan penyuluhan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa dan guru akan pentingnya menjaga kebugaran fisik sekaligus mengenalkan teknik berjalan kaki yang dapat dilakukan di dalam rumah selama masa pandemi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam 3 tahapan yaitu persiapan, penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah dan praktek, serta pendampingan. Sebanyak 51 peserta hadir yang merupakan perwakilan dari siswa dan guru. Hasil penilaian pengetahuan didapatkan peningkatan sebesar 5,2% dan hasil uji statistik menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna (p≤0,05). Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan setelah mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan.

Abstract

A water pump with a wheel as the driving force has been successfully realized in Plana Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province. This activity was carried out with the fish cultivator group, namely Tirta Lestari. The group uses the flow of the Serayu River as a water source for irrigating fish ponds. The position of the fish pond is about 5-6 meters higher than the river flow, so the water removal process is carried out using a water pump. Since the position of the fish pond is very far from electricity, the only solution for water supply is to use an engine-powered water pump so that the group's profits have yet to be maximized. Therefore, the water pump is a development of the research results and service carried out at the Physics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. In this activity, small-scale water pump design will be socialized as a pilot for the group to be developed on a large scale. The partner group enthusiastically welcomed the pump successfully realized because the design was simple and easy to make.
