Abstract

The development of database technology makes a variety of data and medical information is stored in digital form and present in the form of big data. Currently, healthcare that utilizes big data is still in the development stage. Big data starts to be used to expand insight and improve the quality of healthcare. This paper provides information related to the integration of big data in healthcare. Source for big data in healthcare is presented. Opportunities, impacts, and challenges in the integration process of big data in healthcare are also described. Index Terms - big data, healthcare

Abstract

University Course Timetabling Problem is a problem faced by every university, one of which is Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. Timetabling process is done by allocating time and space so that the whole associated class and course can be implemented. In this paper, the problem will be solved by using MAX-MIN Ant System Algorithm. This algorithm is an alternative approach to ant colony optimization. This algorithm uses two tables of pheromones as stigmergy, i.e. timeslot pheromone table and room pheromone table. In addition, the selection of timeslot and room is done by using the standard deviation of the value of pheromones. Testing is carried out by using 105 events, 45 timeslots, and 3 types of categories based on the number of rooms provided, i.e. large, medium, and small. In each category, testing is performed 5 times and for each testing, the data recorded is the unplace and Soft Constraint Penalty. In general, the greater the number of rooms, the smaller the unplace. Index Terms—ant colony optimization, max-min ant system, timetabling

Abstract

The growth of information and communication technology makes the electronic news portal as a source of information. It makes the increasing numbers of online news articles that need to be classified. The classification is done to facilitate the users to access news. This paper proposes a simple method of classification of online news articles into categories. This method uses Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia as a source of external knowledge and consists of 6 steps. In general, this method works by exploiting the structure of categories in Wikipedia, then check for the existence of entities of a news article in Wikipedia articles. This paper is an early stage of the research to be conducted and the proposed method has not been implemented. This makes the researchers have not been able to draw conclusions with regard to the method proposed. Index Terms—news classification, text classification, Wikipedia
