Abstract

The health of pregnant women is still a national health problem. Ante Natal Care (ANC) services integrated with 10 standards can improve maternal and fetal health. However, in recent years complications of pregnancy and childbirth have increased which should be identified early with the right ANC. This study aims to explore the implementation of ANC 10 standards and obstacles in their implementation. This study uses a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach. The study began with qualitative data collection through focus group discussion (FGD) and in-depth interviews and quantitative data collection through filling out questionnaires in October-November 2018 in the working area of ​​the Upper Tembilahan Health Center. The sample of this study was all midwives at the Tembilahan Hulu health center and pregnant women were randomly taken as many as 138 people. The findings of this study note 35 out of 138 (25.4%) pregnant women received standard ANC 10 services in full. Weigh BB and measure TB (86.23%), measure blood pressure (100%), nutritional status (88.41%), measure TFU (85.51%), value of fetal presentation (81.88%), srining T (81.16%), Fe tablets (71.01%), labor checks (81.88%), case management (82.61%), and speech meetings (69.57%). The obstacle of midwives is inadequate facilities and infrastructure and the weak skills of midwives in implementing standards. The need for monitoring and evaluation of KIA program holders and guidance and training for integrated ANC servants for all midwives.

Abstract

Early breastfeeding initiation is the process of immediate infant feeds after birth, where the baby himself is allowed to find his mother’s nipple. Exclusive breastfeeding and correct breastfeeding are reliable means to build quality of human resources. The Government of Indonesia supports the WHO and UNICEF policies that recommend the early breastfeeding initiation is as “life-saving” because it can save 22% of babies die before a month. According to the report of delivery at UPT Puskesmas Gajah Mada, Indragiri Hilir in 2014, there were 216 mothers of 222 delivery who did the initiation of early breastfeeding. This study drives to determine whether there is a relationship between early breastfeeding initiations and exclusive breastfeeding at UPT Puskesmas Gajah Mada Indragiri Hilir in 2014. The type of this research is cross sectional analytic design. The research was done on 9 to 14 of June 2014 at UPT Puskesmas Gajah Mada. The sampling technique of this research was purposive (60 people). Data was gained through checklist and analyzed by using Chi Square. The results showed that there were 46 people (83, 6%) who initiated the early breastfeeding, 9 people (16, 4%) who did not, 41 people (74, 5%) who exclusively breastfeed their infants, and 14 people (25, 5%) who did not. Statistically it can be concluded that there is relationship between early breastfeeding initiation and exclusive breastfeeding at UPT Puskesmas Gajah Mada Indragiri Hilir (p = 0,007). It is expected that UPT Puskesmas Gajah Mada Indragiri Hilir evaluate the management of early breastfeeding initiation on mothers to their babies as it is crucial, especially in supporting the exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Standardized childbirth services are childbirth services by midwives, doctors or obstetric specialists who work in health facilities and are carried out in health facilities. In 2017 the target of achieving childbirth in health facilities of Salak River Health Center is 100%, while the achievement of Mumpa village is only 68.1%. Labor assistance carried out at home and helped by baby shamans is still done by the local community so that it can cause complications that will be difficult to handle. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors related to the selection of birth places in the Auxiliary health center of Mumpa in 2019. This research is quantitative using cross sectional design. This study was conducted in Mumpa village on July 8-13, 2019 with a population of 82 people and sampling techniques using Purposive Sampling so that a sample of 54 respondents was obtained. Analysis of bivariate test data using Chi Square obtained results from 5 factors studied, there are 4 factors related to the selection of places of delivery, namely the Labor Helper factor (P = 0,000), Knowledge (P = 0.020), Culture (P = 0.039) and P4K (P = 0.002). While there is 1 factor that is not related to the selection of the place of delivery, namely Health Insurance (P = 0.239). This research is expected to be an input for counseling in increasing the coverage of childbirth in health facilities.

Abstract

Milk bottles are a means where germs and bacteria breed because milk bottles are difficult to clean. The initial survey conducted by researchers where from 8 cases of diarrhea visited the Poli Anak Puskesmas Sungai Piring, 6 of them did the use of milk bottles and how to wash milk bottles that are not true. Where baduta's mother washes a milk bottle does not use a special cleaner washing the bottle, when baduta's mother makes formula, baduta mother does not wash her hands first and the milk bottle uses only one bottle for one day. The purpose of the study was to find out the picture of the use of milk bottles at the age of 6-24 months in the Working Area of Sungai Piring Health Center, Batang Tuaka Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency in 2019. This research is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional design. Population number 901 children, sampling using accidental sampling with a sample number of 100 baduta children. The research was conducted in the Working Area of Sungai Piring Health Center from July 29 to August 5, 2019. The results of the study obtained as many as 100% who use the type of unseed milk bottle, 85% who have the amount of 1 bottle of milk, 98% can not answer the question correctly (Hygiene), 16% still use the milk bottle after 2 hours. This research is expected for health workers to provide counseling on the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of milk bottles.
