Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the process of implementation of creative dance in increasing child social skills in group A in PAUD Kasih Ibu Duren Sawit, Jakarta Timur. This research is an action research which refers to the model of classroom action research by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart.The subject of this research are children in Group A PAUD Kasih Ibu Duren Sawit, there are 12 children. The steps of this research : 1) Planning, 2) Action,3) Observation, 4) Reflection. This research consist by two cycles, first cycle consist of eight times in actions and the second cycle consists of four times in actions.The analysis of the data used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The analysis of quantitative data used descriptive statistics that compare the results obtained from the first cycle and the second cycle. While the analysis of qualitative data used analyzing daa from the field notes and interviews during the research by steps of data reduction, data display and data verification.The end of this research is the percentage 47,2% to 64,8% to 81,8%. The findings lead to the recommendation to the teacher and parents to use the playing creative dance as the method to increase student’s social skills.

Abstract

This study aims for improve the social skills of children aged 4-5 years through a game of hide and seek in Aisyah Early Childhood Education, Bogor, which will be held in October 2021.The method used in this research is action research which is carried out through two cycles. The cycle consists of planning, action, observation, reflection. The research subjects were seven children of group A in Aisyah Early Childhood Education aged 4-5 years who had problems in social skills.Research data were collected using observations in the form of observation guidelines and field notes, documentation, photos of activities, and interviews. Data were analyzed using a minimum percentage of 71% cycle.The results of data analysis showed that the score of social skills in cycle 2 was declared successful. Based on these results it was determined that the game of hide and seek can improve the social skills between 4-5 years old.The implication of this research is that playing the game of hide and seek can be used as an alternative learning method to improve the social skills of children aged 4-5 years. Thus, it is hoped that early childhood researchers can use the hide-and-seek method in improving children's social skills optimally. Keywords: Improve the social skills of children, playing the game called hide and seek
