Abstract

Various digital-based learning media strongly support the quality of online learning. Digital media is essential in the learning process because it can package the material into more contextual, interesting audiovisual, reduces verbalism, and is more interactive. The primary purpose of this research was to measure the differences in digital literacy by comparing the digital learning media and PowerPoint media in online learning. The design of this study was a pretest-posttest group with a quasi-experimental method. Overall, 56 students in a senior high school in Senior High School 2 Percut Sei Tuan, Medan City,  Sumatera Utara Province, served as participants in this study. Data were collected by questionnaires and structured interviews for digital literacy. Data analyses were mixed with the quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative data were analyzed statistically through independent samples t-test, and qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. Digital literacy data were analyzed using SPSS version 24 software. The results showed that the students' digital literacy using digital learning media was superior to those prepared using PowerPoint. Based on each aspect of digital literacy, namely, internet searching, understanding, and utilizing digital devices, hypertextual navigation, content evaluation, creating digital content, and communicating information, there were significant differences between groups on digital literacy competencies. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis : (1) Kelayakan media pembelajaran video animasi pada materi vulkanisme kelas X di Ponpes Daarul Muhsinin Labuhan Batu (2) Respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran video animasi pada materi vulkanisme kelas X di Ponpes Daarul Muhsinin Labuhan Batu (3) Efektifitas media pembelajaran video animasi pada materi vulkanisme kelas X di Ponpes Daarul Muhsinin Labuhan Batu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ipengembangan i(Research iOf iDepelopment dr) dengan model ADDIE. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPS tahun ajaran 2020/2021 yang  terdiri dari 2 kelas dan setiap kelas terdiri dari 30 siswa. Uji coba media pembelajaran dilakukan pada 60 siswa. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan tes serta dianalisis dengan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Media pembelajaran video animasi pada materi vulkanisme kelas X di Ponpes Daarul Muhsinin Labuhan Batu dikategorikan sangat layak. Hal ini didasarkan pada hasil penilaian oleh ahli materi pada tahap I memperoleh hasil 80% dan pada tahap II menjadi 95,9%, penilaian ahli media pada tahap I memperoleh hasil 78,6% dan pada tahap II menjadi 97,3%, dan penilaian guru pada tahap I sebesar 79% dan pada tahap II menjadi 97% . (2) Respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran video animasi sebesar 96% dikategorikan sangat baik. (3) Media pembelajaran video animasi pada materi vulkanisme kelas X di Ponpes Daarul Muhsinin Labuhan Batu dikategorikan efektif, ditunjukkan oleh ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal sebesar 91,67%. Abstract:This study aims to analyze: (1) the feasibility of animated video learning media on class X volcanism material at Daarul Muhsinin Islamic Boarding School Labuhan Batu (2) Student responses to animated video learning media on class X volcanism material at Daarul Muhsinin Islamic Boarding School Labuhan Batu (3) Effectiveness animated video learning media for class X volcanism at Daarul Muhsinin Islamic Boarding School Labuhan Batu. This research is an iDevelopment Research (Research iOf iDeplopment dr) with the ADDIE model. The population in this study were all students of class X IPS for the academic year 2020/2021 which consisted of 2 classes and each class consisted of 30 students. Learning media trials were conducted on 60 students. Sample selection using total sampling. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and tests and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that: (1) The animated video learning media for class X volcanism at the Daarul Muhsinin Islamic Boarding School in Labuhan Batu was categorized as very feasible. This is based on the results of the assessment by material experts in stage I which obtained 80% results and in stage II it became 95.9%, the assessment of media experts in stage I obtained 78.6% results and in stage II it became 97.3%, and teachers in stage I was 79% and in stage II it was 97%. (2) The student response to the animated video learning media is 96% categorized as very good. (3) The animated video learning media for class X volcanism at the Daarul Muhsinin Islamic Boarding School in Labuhan Batu is categorized as effective, indicated by classical learning mastery of 91.67%.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought changes in various fields of life, including education. The purpose of this study was to describe the challenges faced by teachers and students in e-learning in the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach through data collection using an online questionnaire with Google form and structure interview by phone. Respondents consisted of 163 geography teachers and 104 students at the high school level in North Sumatra Province. This data is then analyzed descriptively in the form of scores and percentages. The result showed that the challenges faced by teachers were especially expertise, preparation for learning, access to e-learning, management of learning in the e-learning platform, supporting facilities, and time effectiveness in e-learning. While the challenges faced by students include understanding the material, access to the learning process, discipline in online learning, learning support facilities for e-learning, and the conditions of the learning environment. Pandemi Covid-19 membawa perubahan  pada berbagai bidang kehidupan termasuk bidang pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tantangan yang dihadapi guru dan siswa pada e-learning di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner online menggunakan Google form dan wawancara terstruktur melalui telepon. Responden terdiri atas 163 guru geografi dan 104 siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dalam bentuk skor dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan yang dihadapi guru antara lain keahlian, persiapan pembelajaran, akses e-learning, pengelolaan pembelajaran dalam platform e-learning, fasilitas pendukung dan efektifitas waktu. Sedangkan tantangan yang dihadapi siswa meliputi pemahaman terhadap materi, akses e-learning, disiplin dalam e-learning, fasilitas pendukung dan kondisi lingkungan pembelajaran.
