Abstract

IDENTITAS PENULIS. Masdar Farid Mas’udi lahir pada 1954 di Purwokerto. Ia belajar agama Islam dari Kyai Chudlori (alm.) di Pesantren Tegalrejo, Magelang (1966-1968), Kyai Ali Maksoem (alm.) di Pesantren Krapyak, Yogyakarta (1968-1974), dan di Fakultas Syariah IAIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta (1972-1979 ). Ia juga belajar filsafat pada Program Pascasarjana UI (1994-1996). Di lingkungan kaum Nahdliyin, Kyai Masdar termasuk sosok berpengaruh. Ia pernah menjabat Wakil Ketua Tim Asistensi Pemikiran Keagamaan untuk Rais Am dan Ketua Umum PBNU (1984-1994), Katib I Syuriah PBNU (1999-2004), Pelaksana Harian Ketua Umum PBNU (2004), dan Ketua PBNU (2005-2010). Setelah Muktamar ke-32 PBNU, kini ia dipercaya menjabat Rais Syuriah PBNU (2010-2015).  Kiprahnya di dunia profesional tak kalah hebat.  Berbagai posisi penting pun ia jabat, antara lain anggota Komisi Ombudsman Nasional (2001-2009), anggota Komisi Ombudsman Harian KOMPAS (2000-2004), anggota Dewan Etik ICW (2004-2009), Direktur P3M (2000-2009), anggota Panel-45 Presiden RI untuk Sidang Umum PBB 2005, dan anggota Delegasi Indonesia untuk Konferensi PBB tentang HAM di Jenewa (Maret, 2008). Pemikiran Kyai Masdar termaktub dalam sejumlah buku, yakni Agama Keadilan: Risalah Zakat [Pajak] dalam Islam (1993) serta Islam dan Hak-Hak Reproduksi Perempuan (1997). Selain itu, ia kerap pula menuangkan gagasannya dalam banyak artikel di berbagai koran dan majalah serta makalah untuk beragam seminar di dalam negeri maupun di luar negeri.

Abstract

Knowing the Nadhliyin Masjid can be known from the role of Jami Kajen Masjid. Jami Kajen Masjid one of the genealogy Islamic spread and growth of Nahdliyin Boarding School Kajen Pati in maintaining religion cultural identity. This article uses qualitative research methods by describing the religious amaliah in Jami Kajen Masjid then analyzed and interpreted. In this study found the role of Jami Kajen Masjid as the Nahdliyin Masjid: first, as a place of worship shalawat, zikir together and shake hands finished prayer; second, prayer together like istigasah, tahlilan, yasinan, khataman Al-Quran and shalawat barzanji; third, the study of the religious sciences; the fourth, preserving the Arabic-speaking Friday sermons, tarawih prayers for two groups and reading Al Qur?an; the fifth, social activities providing compensation to the poor, dhuafa and orphans; the sixth, the harmony place and ukhuwah islamiyah; the seventh, the Center for Cultural Conservation traditions of megengan and suronan; eighth, the salvation tradition or celebrating the days of Islam and suronan Kiai Ahmad Mutamakin. Mengenal Masjid Nadhliyin dapat diketahui dari peranan Masjid Jami Kajen sebagai salah satu genealogi penyebaran Islam dan pertumbuhan pesantren bernuansa Nahdliyin di Kajen Pati dalam memelihara identitas kultural keagamaan. Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan amaliah keagamaan di Masjid Jami Kajen kemudian dianalisis dan diinterpretasikan. Dalam kajian ini ditemukan peran Masjid Kajen sebagai Masjid Nahdliyin yaitu: pertama, sebagai tempat ibadah shalawatan, zikir bersama dan berjabatan tangan selesai shalat; kedua, doa bersama seperti istighasah, tahlilan, yasinan, khataman Al-Quran dan shalawat barzanji; ketiga, pengkajian dan pengajian ilmu-ilmu keagamaan; keempat, melestarikan tradisi khutbah Jumat berbahasa Arab, shalat tarawih untuk dua kelompok dan ngaji kilatan; kelima, kegiatan sosial kemasyarakatan memberikan santunan kepada fakir miskin, kaum dhuafa dan yatim piatu; keenam, wadah perajut kerukunan dan ukhuwah islamiyah; ketujuh, Pusat Pelestarian Kebudayaan dengan tradisi megengan dan suronan; kedelapan, tradisi selamatan atau kenduri memperingati hari-hari besar Islam maupun suronan Kiai Ahmad Mutamakin

Abstract

The stories in Qur'an are Allah’s decrees which convey more beau-tiful values beyond any religious text ever written. It is the holiest scripture and is written  in a wonderful, understandable, and attract-ive language humbly conveying a vast amount of information about life and events that happened in the past. It’s aim is to be an object of reflection for human beings living in this age and the future. Even more so, the stories in Al-Qur'an also entail an educative function providing learning materials,  and teaching methods, regarding the transformative power of Islam and the internalization of true religious values.

Abstract

Maulana Malik Ibrahim is one of the walisanga from Kashan Persia. He is known as the grandsyaikh of the walisanga in the Nusantara. He has had an influence on Islamic civilization in Gresik. He succeeded in acculturating the traditions of Persian civilization with Javanese traditions. He interacts and preaches in a dialogical manner and is accommodative to the traditions and culture of the local community. He is not only good at preaching, but skilled and skilled in various fields of life; farming, medicine, shipping and education. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a historical approach. Field observations, interviews and document studies were then analyzed descriptively of cultural acculturation in Maulana Malik Ibrahim's da'wah. The results of this study show cultural acculturation in Maulana Malik Ibrahim's da'wah both religiously and socially scientist. Socially, he taught trade, equality and tolerance among people; he founded a pesantren inspired by the mandala of a Hindu-Buddhist educational institution; he cares for and maintains traditions such as muludan, kupatan, suronan. While scientifically he is known as a healer who specializes in treating water, verses from the Koran and herbs; he introduced astrology for sailing, farming and determining the time of prayer / hilal

Abstract

Spirituality for Javanese people is considered as a lantern that provides light for human life to achieve goals. Spirituality like this can be found in the Merti Desa tradition as a form of implementing a culture of balance and harmony both vertically to God and horizontally to fellow humans and the environment. This study aims to determine the values ​​of spirituality and its preservation in the tradition of "Merti Desa" in Mangunrejo, Magelang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. The stages of the research were observing the implementation of the tradition of Merti Desa, interviewing community and religious leaders, and studying documents. This study finds three spiritual values of Merti Desa: first, thank God for His gifts; second, the character of the leader of ngayomi protects and improves the welfare of his people; third, togetherness and harmony is carried out by having a meal together; fourth, preserving the agricultural environment with the presence of grain and kerambil in wayang performances.

Abstract

Mosque of Sendang Duwur is broadcasting cultural heritage Sunan Sendang Duwur acculturated with the architectural vernacular of traditional Javanese and Hindu culture. This paper uses research methods descriptive analysis by describing the components of the mosque as analysis and interpretation. So that encountered a form of acculturation appears in the Sendang Duwur mosque architecture of the building is typical Joglo Javanese building forms, which were disputed by the four pillar , mustaka on the roof of the mosque bertumpang three similar buildings Meru in Hindu, the arch-shaped mihrab mosque Kalamakara like a temple, a mosque pulpit carved Jepara florish and the lotus -shaped , arch -shaped monument mosque briefly remind clicking on the shape of the building in the complex kedathon kori the Hindu kingdom. In the foyer there is candrasengkala Javanese writing on a wooden board that reads: gurhaning sarira tirta hayu ( 1483 S = 1561 AD)---Masjid Sendang Duwur adalah jejak peninggalan dakwah kultural Sunan Sendang Duwur yang gaya aristekturnya berakulturasi antara vernacular tradisi Jawa dengan Hindu.Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskripsi analisis dengan mendeskripsikan komponen-komponen masjid kemudian dianalisis dan diinterpretasikan. Dalam kajian ini ditemukan bahwa Masjid Sendang Duwur berarsitektur Joglo dengan empat soko guru yang menyanggah bangunan masjid merepresentasikan bangunan khas vulnacular daerah Jawa. Mustaka pada atap masjid bertumpang tiga mirip meru pada bangunan Hindu, mihrab masjid yang berbentuk lengkungan kalamakara seperti candi, mimbar masjid berukiran Jepara berbentuk florish dan bunga teratai, gapura masjid berbentuk tugu bentar mengingatkan pada bentuk bangunan kori pada kedathon di komplek Kerajaan Hindu. Pada serambi terdapat candrasengkala tulisan Jawa pada sebuah papan kayu yang berbunyi:gurhaning sarira tirta hayu (1483 S=1561 M).
