Abstract

As individuals increasingly engage in the digital economy, it is crucial for them to have a basic understanding of both financial and digital literacy, just as they require proficiency in using digital devices and managing digital financial transactions. Consequently, there arises a necessity to redefine the concept of financial literacy within digital context. The redefinition of financial literacy demands a comprehensive, multidimensional approach, which is the focal point of this study. Two distinct indices are developed in this research to delineate traditional financial literacy from digital literacy and scrutinise their impact on the development of resilience-enhancing financial behaviour in youths. The empirical evidence presented in this study underscores the significance of financial and digital literacy. Individuals with higher financial literacy demonstrate a higher likelihood of saving, especially in formal financial institutions. Additionally, the study reveals a correlation between financial and digital literacy and an increased propensity to invest and participate in financial assets, in contrast to participation in real assets, which is not influenced by financial and digital literacy. These findings hold substantial policy implications, suggesting that a dual focus on financial and digital literacy is essential when designing digital-adapted financial education programmes to enhance individuals’ long-term financial resilience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini melakukan survei terhadap 150 orang mahasiswa untuk menilai literasi keuangan mereka; keterkaitan antara tingkat literasi dengan karakteristik mahasiswa; dan dampak literasi terhadap perilaku keuangannya. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menjawab pertanyaan dengan benar rata-rata sebesar 49.32%. Pria, mahasiswa tingkat awal, tidak tinggal bersama orang tua, dan memiliki IPK kurang dari 2,50 memiliki tingkat literasi keuangan yang paling rendah. Mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan keuangan yang kurang memadai cenderung menunjukkan perilaku keuangan yang tidak tepat, terutama dalam mempersiapkan dana darurat. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan mahasiswa akan pengelolaan keuangan pribadi tidak memadai. Rendahnya tingkat literasi keuangan akan membatasi kemampuan mereka dalam membuat keputusan keuangan. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai dampak dari pendidikan perencanaan keuangan pribadi pada pengetahuan, perilaku, dan keefektifan pribadi dalam pengelolaan keuangan. Secara statistik, perubahan signifikan terjadi pada pengetahuan, perilaku, dan keefektifan pengelolaan keuangan terhadap mahasiswa, sebelum dan sesudah berpartisipasi dalam mata kuliah perencanaan keuangan. Penelitian ini juga menelusuri lebih jauh produk-produk keuangan yang dimilikimahasiswa atas nama pribadi, perubahan kebiasaan mempergunakan uang dan perubahan kebiasaan menabung, serta aktivitas perencanaan keuangan yang paling penting dilakukan setelah mengikuti mata kuliah perencanaan keuangan.Kata-kata kunci: mata kuliah perencanaan keuangan pribadi, kecakapan keuangan, evaluasi pembelajaran

Abstract

This research determined the results of the performance of mutual fund products offered by PTNISP Asset Management with Risk Adjusted Return calculation model. To perform an assessment of the mutual funds, this research analyzed 6 of 8 mutual fund products offered by PT NISP Asset Management during the years 2008 and 2009. The data analysis methods used were Sharpe Ratio, Treynor Ratio, Jensen Ratio, M2 or M-square measure and Information Ratio.The results of the research showed that mutual funds offered by PT NISP Asset Management should be selected by the investor.The results also showed that the performance of all mutual funds offered by PT. NISP Asset Management that were analyzed performed well, but there was only one mutual fund product rated to survive in times of crisis, which was IndeksSahamProgresif. This mutual fundproduct is recommended for investors who are looking to invest in PT. NISP Asset Management.
