Abstract

E-commerce market in Indonesia has tremendous growth and predicted to become significant contributor to Foreign Direct Investment. Millennials, heavily affected by technology and internet, considered to be the driver growth of e-commerce. Applying the theory of modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this research analyzes whether perceived of ease of use and perceived usefulness mediate the impact of computer self-efficacy on the behavior of e-commerce users to use Lazada platform. The study was a quantitative study with online questionnaire. Data of 200 respondents were analyzed by Structural Equation Modelling and the result shows that computer self-efficacy indirectly affects behavioral intention to use through perceived ease of use. Perceived usefulness and attitude towards use are not significant mediators because of their insignificance on intention to use. Computer self-efficacy has significant impact on behavioral intention mediated by perceived ease of use, but not by perceived usefulness.

Abstract

Flow shop scheduling problem is to schedule a production process of n jobs that go through the same process sequence and the same m machines. Most researches are don to accomplish only one objective, i.e. minimizing makespan. The other objective, such as total flow time, or multiple objectives that is minimizing makespan, total flow time and machine idle time, will be more effective in reducing scheduling cost, as written in French (1982). Rajendran algorithm (1995) that solves flow shop problem with multiple objectives will be used to evaluate the proposed algorithm: Genetic Algorithm, developed by Sridhar & Rajendran (1996) on a problem that existed in a shoe factory.

Abstract

Abstract

Cafés have rapidly become a popular trend in Indonesia, evolving into an essential part of the local lifestyle. Due to the proliferation of café chains, owners are increasingly challenged to differentiate themselves by developing innovative concepts to attract customers and deliver value. Consequently, the concept of service scape has emerged as a crucial factor in securing a competitive edge. This study aims to examine the influence of service scape on service quality and customer behavioral intentions in the Indonesian market. A simple random sampling technique was used to distribute questionnaires to Tanamera Coffee patrons through social media platforms. A total of 111 valid responses were collected and analyzed using the partial least squares-structural equation modelling approach. The findings reveal that service scape directly affects employee service quality, overall service quality, and behavioral intentions. Moreover, employee service quality was found to positively influence overall service quality, which in turn had a significant impact on behavioral intentions. These insights underscore the pivotal role of service scape in enhancing customer value.

Abstract

Boards of directors have a significant impact on firm performance. With the growing emphasis on diversity, it is essential to explain how demographic diversity among leaders relates to firm performance. The paper examines the relationship between demographic diversity, age, gender, tenure, and the performance of Indonesian manufacturing firms. The writers adopt Resource Dependency Theory as the theoretical basis for this research. Although studies on board diversity exist, the influence of board diversity on manufacturing firms, which is becoming increasingly crucial in Indonesia, is rarely discussed. The writers analyzed secondary data from 2016 to 2022 using Ordinary Least Squares regression. Results show that age and tenure diversity have a positive impact on the performance of larger firms, but no effect on smaller firms. These results add practical implications for manufacturing firms seeking to enhance decision-making with diverse leadership.
