<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Luka bakar merupakan suatu bentuk kerusakan atau kehilangan jaringan yang disebabkan kontak dengan sumber panas seperti api, air panas, bahan kimia, listrik dan radiasi. Kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) mengandung senyawa aktif vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A, alkaloid, terpenoid, flavonoid, tiamin. Vitamin C untuk pembentukan kolagen, flavonoid sebagai antibakteri dan merangsang pertumbuhan sel baru. Buah naga pada umumnya yang dimanfaatkan hanyalah isi dagingnya, lalu kulitnya dibuang begitu saja. Namun ternyata, kulit buah naga merah kaya akan sumber polyphenol dan antioksidan bahkan aktivitas antiseptic dan antioksidan kulit buah naga lebih besar daripada aktivitas antioksidan pada dagingnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda rancangan acak lengkap dengan lima kelompok perlakuan yaitu kontrol negatif (basis gel), kontrol positif (bioplacenton), konsentrasi 5% b/b, 10% b/b dan 15% b/b. Data yang diperoleh adalah pengurangan diameter dan persentase penyembuhan luka bakar. Data persentase penyembuhan luka dianalisis dengan menggunakan Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gel ekstrak kulit buah naga merah pada konsentrasi 10% dan 15% b/b secara signifikan memiliki efek yang besar dalam penyembuhan luka bakar derajat dua dangkal ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan persentase penyembuhan luka dengan persentase rata-rata 75% dan 90%. Gel ekstrak kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) terbukti dapat memberikan efek penyembuhan luka bakar pada mencit putih jantan dengan konsentrasi 10% b/b dan konsentrasi 15% b/b. Red dragon fruit peels (Hylocereus polyrhizus) contains active compounds of vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A, alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, thiamine.
