Abstract

Abstract: Previous research conducted by Suci Frisnoiry and Muhammad Badzlan Darari revealed that online learning using LMS Moodle can increase student motivation and learning achievement and with the right activity content and learning resources can also shape student learning attitudes. Learning independence is part of learning attitudes, while research on student learning independence is still small, especially in online learning at Medan State University. Meanwhile, the attitude of independent student learning is a skill needed in the online lecture process. This research was conducted to describe the effectiveness of an online learning independence questionnaire for students of the Mathematics Department, Medan State University. The questionnaire was developed as an answer to concerns about the level of student learning independence in online lectures during a pandemic. The questionnaire was compiled based on 9 criteria, namely; 1) Learning initiatives, 2) Diagnosing learning needs, 3) Setting learning targets and objectives, 4) Monitoring, organizing, and controlling, 5) Seeing difficulties as challenges, 6) Utilizing and finding relevant learning resources, 7) Selecting and assigning learning strategies, 8) Evaluating learning processes and outcomes, and 9) appropriate selfefficacy. This indicator corresponds to a question published by Murray Fisher. The findings from the responses given by students revealed that the online learning independence of Unimed Mathematics students was not yet in the high category.Keywords: Independent online learning, Zoho Survey, Multivariable CalculusAbstrak: Penelitian sebelumnya yang dilakukan oleh Suci Frisnoiry dan Muhammad Badzlan Darari mengungkapkan bahwa pembelajaran daring menggunakan LMS Moodle dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa serta dengan konten kegiatan dan sumber belajar yang tepat juga dapat membentuk sikap belajar siswa. Kemandirian belajar merupakan bagian dari sikap belajar, sedangkan penelitian tentang kemandirian belajar mahasiswa masih sedikit, terutama pada pembelajaran daring di Universitas Negeri Medan. Sedangkan sikap kemandirian belajar mahasiswa merupakan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan dalam proses perkuliahan daring. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan angket kemandirian belajar daring mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika Universitas Negeri Medan. Angket tersebut dikembangkan sebagai jawaban atas kekhawatiran terhadap tingkat kemandirian belajar mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan daring di masa pandemi. Angket disusun berdasarkan 9 kriteria, yaitu; 1) Inisiatif pembelajaran, 2) Mendiagnosis kebutuhan belajar, 3) Menetapkan target dan tujuan pembelajaran, 4) Memonitor, mengorganisir, dan mengontrol, 5) Melihat kesulitan sebagai tantangan, 6) Memanfaatkan dan menemukan sumber belajar yang relevan, 7) Memilih dan menugaskan pembelajaran strategi, 8) Mengevaluasi proses dan hasil belajar, dan 9) selfefficacy yang sesuai. Indikator ini sesuai dengan pertanyaan yang diterbitkan oleh Murray Fisher. Temuan dari tanggapan yang diberikan mahasiswa mengungkapkan bahwa kemandirian belajar daring mahasiswa Jurusan matematika Unimed belum masuk pada kategori tinggi.Kata kunci: Kemandirian belajar daring, Zoho Survey, Kalkulus Multivariabel

Abstract

This study aims to know what effort were made to improve mathematical representation skill on quadrilateral subjects through brain based learning at smp it al-hijrah. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study is 8th grade students at smp it al-hijrah. Data collecting techniques used are test, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the mathematical representation skill of 8th grade students at smp it al-hijrah being improved after applied the learning used brain based learning. (2) the improve is visible from the result score of mathematical representation skill test at the beginning of the test until cycle 2. It can be concluded that by applying learning used brain based learning can improve mathematical representation students’ skill on quadrilateral subject at SMP IT Al-Hijrah
