Abstract

This study aims to re-apply the values contained in Pancasila as the formation of the nation's character in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The problem of this research is motivated by a visible attitude about the appreciation of Pancasila values which is starting to disappear. This study uses a literature study method, where data collection techniques are carried out by conducting a review of books, literature, notes, journals that are related to the problems discussed. The results of the study concluded that in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, Indonesia will experience major changes in all aspects of life. Especially technology. Everything that is done will be related to modern technology, the internet, and the advancement of human thought. The more sophisticated the technology, the more the character of the nation will fade in today's young generation which has an impact on the social and cultural environment of the nation. It is possible that the young generation in the future will have a free, apathetic and individualistic character. So the efforts that can be made to prepare the younger generation from now on to apply Pancasila values in daily life to change the nation's character for the better with a clear, directed, and structured goal are also very relevant to be applied in Indonesia. The values contained in Pancasila will be able to build the nation's character in the younger generation and be able to fortify the younger generation from habits that are not in accordance with the values of Pancasila.

Abstract

Character education aims to improve the quality of implementation and educational outcomes in schools that lead to the achievement of the character building and noble morals of students as a whole, integrated and balanced according to the competency standards of graduates. Through character education, students are expected to be able to independently improve and use their knowledge, study and internalize and personalize the values of character and noble morals so that they are manifested in daily behavior. In realizing character education, it cannot be done without the cultivation of values, because character comes from values about something. The individual character which is imbued with the principles of Pancasila, is grouped in two ways, namely the principle of four sports (heart exercise, thought, exercise, feeling and intention) and the values of obligation to God who is the creator, towards oneself, family, society, the nation and also the natural environment.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia is now faced with a moral crisis that could impede future development and sustainability. The moral crisis occurs throughout longevity and almost everywhere in Indonesia. Therefore, the study is done to reflect in good nation character creation through the implementation of civics education values. The method used in doing this study is a qualitative approach using a library study method. Data sources are derived from journals and expert opinions. Based on analysis, (1) many character education values are integrated into more advanced civic education (2) development of good citizen can be achieved through education by shaping the character of a highly educated, skill-wise, ethical and social participation. Key words: character education, education, character Abstrak: Indonesia saat ini mulai dihadapkan pada persoalan krisis moral yang dapat menghambat pembangunan dan keberlangsungan bangsa di masa yang akan datang. Krisis moral terjadi diseluruh jenjang usia dan hampir diseluruh penjuru daerah di Indonesia. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran dalam pembentukan karakter bangsa yang baik melalui implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka. Sumber data diperoleh dari jurnal dan pendapat-pendapat para ahli. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan (1) nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter banyak terintegrasi didalam pendidikan terlebih pendidikan kewarganegaraan (2) pengembangan good citizen dapat dicapai melalui pendidikan dengan membentuk karakter bangsa yang berilmu tinggi, memiliki keterampilan, etika dan partisipasi yang baik dimasyarakat.
