Abstract

Batuan tua berumur Eosen tidak banyak tersingkap di Pulau Jawa. Salah satu lokasi singkapan batuan Paleogen ini berada di daerah Pegunungan Kulon Progo. Batuan ini adalah Formasi Nanggulan yang sangat dikenal keberadaanya di sisi timur Pegunungan Kulon Progo. Bagaimana batuan tua ini tersingkap diantara batuan yang lebih muda berumur Oligosen dan Miosen merupakan masalah yang akan dikaji dalam penelitian ini.Penelititan terhadap upaya menjelaskan kemunculan Formasi naggulan telah diakukan dengan serangkaian metode penelitia geologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui kajian referensi dari penelitian terdahulu mengenai Pegunungan Kulon Progo, pengamatan citra daerah Kulon Progo, pengamatan langsung tubuh batuan Eosen di lapangan serta pengukuran struktur sesar maupun kekar yang ada di lapangan. Pengukuran unsur-unsur struktur geologi digunakan dalam mengetahui struktur utama dan gaya pembentuk struktur pada batuan Formasi Nanggulan yang berumur Paleogen dan batuan di sekitarnya yang berumur Neogen.Kemunculan batuan Formasi Nanggulan yang sangat tua di daerah Naggulan dikontrol oleh struktur geologi sesar naik yang berarah timurlaut-baratdaya (NE-SW) akibat gaya utama berarah baratlaut-tenggara. Sesar ini membentuk struktur sekunder berupa sesar dextral, sesar sinistral dan lipatan. Sesar sinistral berkembang di selatan menciptakan kontak batuan Nanggulan dengan batugamping Formasi Sentolo yang berumur Miosen Akhir. Sesar dextral berkembang di utara menciptakan kontak batuan Formasi Nanggulan dengan batuan vulkanik Oligosen dan batugamping Formasi Sentolo.  Lipatan antiklin terbentuk pada Formasi Nanggulan. Sesar naik terbentuk pada batuan vulkanik Formasi Kebo Butak. Kata-kata kunci: Struktur geologi,  sesar naik, sinistral, dekstral, lipatan

Abstract

In the rainy season, land movement disasters are common in vulnerable areas. InNovember 2020, there was a landslide disaster in Sirau Village, Purbalingga. Thisphenomenon needs to be continuously informed to the public parties in order to minimizethe risks and losses as little as possible. This community service activity aims to providesocialization and understanding to government officials and the community about landslidesat the location. These activities are using methods of literature study, field surveys and directdiscussion in the field. Abstract

Mineralization in the Bukit Randu area and its surroundings is formed by geological structures to be investigated.This study uses data on fault striation, quartz vein plane and quartz veinlet plane. This study aims to determine the main structural pattern forming the mineralization zone. This research is useful for determining the geological structure model in the Randu Hill area. The research method was carried out through data collection in the field and analysis in the laboratory. Field data collection includes striation data measurement, quartz vein plane measurement, quartz veinlet plane and quartz vein sampling. Laboratory analysis includes stereographic analysis of striation and rose diagram analysis of vein and veinlet measurement data, and vein polishing mineragraphy. Quartz vein and veinlet mineralization in the Randu Hill area is controlled by a right lateral strike-slip fault trending northwest-southeast and a north-south normal fault. This mineralized zone is a north-south trending transtension zone due to en-enchelon right stepping of right lateral strike-slip fault. Precious metal minerals are located in the north-south trending veins in the same direction as the regional compression stress and normal faults.
