Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan dan daya hasil populasi tanaman jagung (Zea mays L.) hasil seleksi simultan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lahan milik petani Desa Pagutan, Kecamatan Sekarbela, Kota Mataram. Penelitian ini diawali dengan persiapan benih sampai panen. Data dianalisa dengan analisis keragaman pada taraf nyata 5%. Perlakuan yang menunjukkan beda nyata diuji lanjut dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf nyata yang sama. Populasi tanaman jagung memiliki komponen pertumbuhan yang berbeda nyata, sedangkan untuk daya hasil tidak berbeda nyata pada tiap perlakuan (CO, UP, SI, BT dan BB). Meskipun komponen pertumbuhan yang mempengaruhinya memiliki nilai yang berbeda nyata, ternyata tidak berdampak signifikan dengan yang diharapkan. Hasil penelitian belum menunjukkan adanya kemajuan seleksi untuk sebagian sifat yang diamati. ABSTRACK This study aimed to evaluate the growth and yield populations of maize (Zea mays L.) simultaneous selection results. The research was conducted on land owned by village farmers embrace, District Sekarbela, Mataram City. This study begins with the preparation of the seed to harvest. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance at the 5% significance level. Treatment showed significant difference test was tested further by Least Significant Difference (LSD) at the same real level. Corn plant populations have significantly different growth components, while the yield was not significantly different for each treatment (CO, UP, SI, BT and BB). Despite growth components affecting its have significantly different values, it did not significantly impact expected. The results of studies have not shown the progress of selection for most of the observed properties.
