Abstract

ABSTRAK Sebuah penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jenis bahan organik terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Trichoderma sp. di dalam tanah telah dikaji dalam dua percobaan laboratorium, yaitu dengan cara menumbuhkan jamurnya pada medium bahan organik secara langsung dalam tabung-tabung reaksi, dan pada medium tanah yang dicampur bahan organik dalam kantung-kantung plastik. Masing-masing percobaan dirancang mengikuti rancangan acak kelompok empat ulangan, dengan perlakuan terdiri atas tujuh jenis bahan organik: jerami padi, sekam padi, serbuk gergaji, jerami jagung, daun jati, sabut kelapa, jerami clotalaria, dan tanpa bahan organik sebagai perlakuan kontrol. Inkubasi terhadap semua perlakuan pada suhu kamar dilakukan selama 45 hari. Pemberian bahan organik (segar) meningkatkan pertumbuhan jamur Trichoderma di dalam tanah, dengan besaran tergantung pada masa inkubasi dan jenis bahan organik. Secara umum, peningkatan tertinggi kerapatan konidia terjadi ketika masa inkubasi 30 hari, yaitu pada pemberian jerami padi, kemudian serbuk gergaji dan sekam padi. ABSTRACT A study to determine the effect of some types of organic matter to the growth of Trichoderma sp. in the soil has been studied in two laboratory experiments, ie by growing the fungus on the medium of organic materials directly into test tubes, and in the soil medium mixed with organic materials in plastic bags. Each experiment was designed as a randomized block design with four replications, consisting of seven organic material treatments i.e. rice straw, rice hull, sawdust, corn straw, teak leaves, coconut fiber, clotalaria straw, and a control treatment without organic matter. Incubation of all treatments at room temperature was carried out for 45 days. Aplication of (fresh) organic matter increase the growth of Trichoderma sp. in the soil, with the extent depending on the incubation period and type of organic material. In general, the highest increased in conidia density is occurred on incubation period of 30 days for addition of rice straw, then sawdust and rice hull.
