Abstract

The aims of this research were to know the enfluence of concentration of Carica papaya’s methanol extract to lethality of Aedes aegypti’s larvas and to determine the biolarvaside activity of Carica papaya’s methanol extract against Aedes aegypti’s larvas. In this research, extraction conducted using maceration method and biolarvaside activity (LC-50) was analyzed by probit analysis. The results of research showed that concentration of Carica papaya’s methanol extract enfluenced the lethality of Aedes aegypti larvas with LC-50 of 1409,61 ppm.

Abstract

The proposes of reseach are (1) to know the biolarvaside activity of tapak dara’s methanol extract against Aedes aegypti larva, (2) to know effect of tapak dara’s methanol extract to lethality degree of Aedes aegypti larva. In this research extraction was conducted by maceration, the kinds of the secondary metabolites constituent were identified by qualitative test, and biolarvaside test using Aedes aegypti larva. Based on the research, the LC50 value of tapak dara’s methanol extract was 1804.82 ppm. The ANOVA analysis showed that concentration of tapak dara’s methanol extract enfluenced the lethality degree of Aedes aegypti larva. The higher the concentration of tapak dara’s methanol extract, the higher the lethality degree of Aedes aegypti larva.50 value of tapak dara’s methanol extract was 1804.82 ppm. The ANOVA analysis showed that concentration of tapak dara’s methanol extract enfluenced the lethality degree of Aedes aegypti larva. The higher the concentration of tapak dara’s methanol extract, the higher the lethality degree of Aedes aegypti larva.
