Abstract

This research is caused by difficulty in reading the texts of ceremonial devices because in readingthe text of the ceremony device, the students still have difficulties in voicing letters, giving pauses,intonation, tempo and learning strategies that have not varied so students become bored and payless attention to learning to read the text of ceremonial devices. Based on the above problems, thisstudy aims to describe the ability to read aloud texts of ceremonial devices using class VII MTSNdemonstration method of Payakumbuh. Indicators assessed in this study there are three indicatorsnamely Application of tempo, intonation and pause. This research type is quantitative research ofdescriptive method. The researchers took the sample by cluster random sampling technique(random class). And the class selected as the sample is class VII.2 which amounted to 22 students.Based on the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that the average reading skill ofceremonial text device using class VII method of MTSN Payakumbuh is 81 with good qualificationin terms of first aspect, the application of tempo is 86,4 with excellent qualification. Secondly, theintonation is 87.5 with excellent qualification. Third, the pause is 73.9 with more than enoughqualification.Kata kunci : membaca, membaca nyaring, metode demonstrasi.

Abstract

The background of the problem in this research is, the mixing of language in the use of language in Jorong Rageh. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of ilokusi speech acts in Jorong Rageh Nagari Bukik Sikimpa District Lareh Sago Halaban District Lima Puluh Kota. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive method. The object of this research is Jorong Rageh Nagari Bukik Sikumpa Society. The Techniques of collection data is using listening techniques. The first step in collecting data is the researcher directly go to the informant’s house that will be observed; second, the researcher observes every speech the informant says; third, the researcher asks questions to informants to say their speech; fourth, the researchers recorded every speech the informant said; fifth, transcribing data in writing as a result of the speech data obtained from the informant. Based on the research conducted found a number of acts of speech ilocusi in Jorong Rageh region Bukik Sikumpa society. From these number can be specified as follows: assertive; directive speech; commissive speech; expressive speech. Thus, the dominant speech uttered by the Jorong Society of the Nagari Desert Hall is an assertive act of speech.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. This study aims to describe the character education in Merry Riana's biographical novel. The data collection technique is carried out using content analysis techniques. The data source of this research is the biographical novel of Merry Riana by Alberthiene Endah. The data analysis technique uses a descriptive method. by describing the facts and analyzing them. The results of this study prove that character education in the novel Biography of Merry Riana by Alberthiene Endah is (1) Religious, (2) Responsibility, discipline, independence, (3) Amanah, (4) Respect and courtesy, (5) Caring and cooperation. , (6) Creative and never give up.
