<![CDATA[Abstract :Princess Legend of the Green is one of the literary tradition of the Malay community and society Karo in North Sumatra. This legend tells about the events of the war between the Kingdom of Aceh with the Kingdom Delitua. The story in Legend of Princess Green contains action, characteristics of the characters, the story and the plot is very interesting. Green Princess Legend of research conducted to determine the structural and functional aktansial scheme contained in the story and find the main frame forming a story. The problems of this study were (1) How aktansial scheme and the functional structure of the Green Princess Legend of story? (2) What is the correlation actant scheme and the functional structure of the Green Princess Legend of story? The approach used in this study is objective approach is the approach that focuses on literature or literary texts and more emphasis on literature as an object of research focus. Research target is the structure of the Green Princess Legend of story text. The data of this study is the story structures containing actant scheme and the functional structure of the story contained in the Legend of the Green Princess. The method used in this research is a method for assessing the structural model of Greimas about Green Princess Legend of story structure based scheme actants and functional structure. Her actants already complex structure and functional analysis of the model has met three steps. Thus, it can be concluded that the Princess Legend of the Green storyline could be said to satisfy the structural and functional theory of Greimas. All structures actants are met and all stages in the functional model are met.Keywords: legend green princess-actant structure and functional modelAbstrak :Legenda Putri Hijau adalah salah satu karya sastra tradisi masyarakat Melayu dan masyarakat Karo di Sumatera Utara. Legenda ini menceritakan tentang peristiwa peperangan antara Kerajaan Aceh dengan Kerajaan Delitua. Cerita dalam Legenda Putri Hijau mengandung aksi, karakteristik tokoh, isi cerita dan alur yang sangat menarik. Penelitian Legenda Putri Hijau dilakukan untuk mengetahui skema aktansial dan struktur fungsional yang terkandung dalam cerita dan menemukan kerangka utama pembentuk cerita. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimanakah skema aktansial dan struktur fungsional dalam cerita Legenda Putri Hijau? (2) Bagaimanakah korelasi skema aktan dan struktur fungsional dalam cerita Legenda Putri Hijau? Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan obyektif yaitu pendekatan yang menitikberatkan pada karya sastra atau teks sastra dan lebih menekankan pada obyek sastra sebagai fokus penelitian. Sasaran penelitian adalah struktur teks cerita Legenda Putri Hijau. Data penelitian ini adalah struktur-struktur cerita yang mengandung skema aktan dan struktur fungsional yang terdapat dalam cerita Legenda Putri Hijau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini yaitu metode struktural model Greimas karena mengkaji tentang struktur cerita Legenda Putri Hijau berdasarkan skema aktan dan struktur fungsionalnya. struktur aktannya sudah kompleks dan analisis model fungsional telah terpenuhi ketiga tahap-tahapnya. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alur cerita Legenda Putri Hijau bisa dikatakan memenuhi struktural dan fungsional dari teori Greimas.
