Abstract

Character education is now a major issue of education. In addition to being part of the process of character building of the nation's children, this character education is also expected to be the main foundation in improving the level and dignity of the Indonesian people. Character formation begins with the nature of God's giving, which is then patterned so that it becomes identity and behavior. In the process itself, this natural disposition is strongly influenced by the state of the environment both the family and the surrounding community, seeing this reality every school and community must have discipline and habits regarding the character to be formed. Leaders and community leaders must also be able to provide an example of the character that will be formed. The concepts and applications planned by Islamic education institutions will provide a very urgent influence. The institution must be able to carry out several principles of developing character education in Islamic-based schools namely sustainability, through all subjects, self-development and school culture, values ​​are not taught but developed, the process of character education is carried out actively by students. Thus the development of character education can be through subjects (integrated), self-development activities and school culture.

Abstract

This study discusses the elaboration of children's literacy skills, the target of assistance is taking cases to children in Kedungglugu village, Gondang district, Nganjuk district, this is considered important considering the low interest in reading and writing of children in the village. In simple terms, literacy is a basic ability that must be mastered by everyone, especially those at school age. This ability will serve as capital and provision in carrying out their daily lives in the future. However, the facts on the ground show that literacy skills, especially at the age of children, are quite alarming. Based on observations, one of the factors for the lack of interest in reading and writing in children is the absence of infrastructure that supports these literacy activities. Therefore, this mentoring initiated a concentration on the establishment of reading houses as a means for them to improve their literacy skills which will become the basis for their future life principles. The method used in this activity uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method with the main pillars of research, action, and participation. The partners involved in this program are all Muslim women and local village youth organizations.

Abstract

Blended learning has become an important issue in modern education, combining face-to-face and online learning. The background of this study is the need to enhance students' critical thinking skills in the digital era. The problem identified is the lack of empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of blended learning in this context. This research aims to analyze the impact of blended learning implementation on the critical thinking skills of high school students. The method used is library research, reviewing relevant literature from various academic sources. The results show that blended learning can enhance students' critical thinking skills through interactive and flexible approaches. Effective implementation requires adequate technological support and ongoing teacher training. This study provides significant insights into how blended learning can be applied to develop students' critical thinking skills
