Abstract

Asghar Ali Engineer is one of the figures who promotes and implements liberation theology. Liberation theology emphasizes praxis rather than metaphysical theoritization which includes abstract and ambiguous concepts. The praxis in question is of a liberal nature and involves dialectical attraction between "what is" and "what should be". As well as this ambiguous meaning that opens opportunities for flexibility in making creative and constructive changes. This theology is applied, among others, related to the injustice towards women. Women realize that they have not really been 'individualized', have not been treated as whole human beings. This condition is of course felt as a confinement that shackles women. So from a normative perspective, it is clear that the Koran upholds the principle of equality between men and women. In other words, the Qur'an is very concerned with issues of gender equality. However, when viewed from a contextual perspective, the al-Qur'an sometimes places men one level above women.

Abstract

The origin of human creation and biological events is an important study material in the discourse of modern science. Even more so when related to Darwin's theory of human creation which has drawn much debate to this day. So this paper tries to provide a description of the scientific interpretation carried out by Tantawi Jawhari on the verses of human creation shows efforts that lead to rational and progressive interpretations. The rationality of the scientific interpretation of Tantawi Jawhari in the verses of human creation can be seen from its interpretation which reflects an attempt to affirm the religious spirit of a rational, progressive and integrative people. Interpretation of Tantawi Jawhari not only shws the use of reason but reflects progress and unity between the sciences in Islam.

Abstract

Hermeneutics its simplest sense is the theory of text interpretation which was originally used to interpret the Bible. The use of the hermeneutic approach, especially in Indonesia, can be traced through existing courses and research results. The presence of hermeneutics has drawn controversy, especially when it is associated with the al-Qur’an. So there are some who disagree with hermeneutics because this hermeneutics is not from Islam so that it cannot be used in interpreting the Qur'an because it is seen from its history that hermeneutics is used to interpret Biebel which is actually different from the al-Qur'an. Although this hermeneutics is not used in interpreting the Qur'an, according to the author's n, it looks more at the goal of an interpretation, which is to make it easier for humans to understand a text.The highest and foremost authority in interpreting the al-Qur’an is only the Prophet Muhammad SAW, so at that time, if the companions had difficulty understanding the Qur'an, they immediately asked the Prophet. Then in the development of the methodology of interpretation, a form of interpretation emerged, namely the form of history (tafsir bi al-ma'tsur) in which the companions received and narrated the interpretation of the Prophet Muhammad SAW through deliberation and tafsir al-ra'y (interpretation through thought or ijtihad).

Abstract

Komunikasi profetik merupakan komunikasi yang mengacu kepada pola komunikasi kenabian Muhammad Saw. sarat dengan nilai egaliter, toleransi, kelembutan, kemurahan, dan nilai spiritualitas. Paradigma ini merupakan pengembangan dari konsep ilmu sosial profetik (ISP) yang pernah digagas oleh ilmuan Islam kontemporer yakni Kuntowijoyo yang terinspirasi dari Q.s. A<li Imra>n/3:110. Teori ini mengkonstruksikan transformasi sosial yang mengedepankan nilai ketuhanan dan kenabian melalui pertalian antara humanisasi, liberasi, dan transendensi terhadap realitas yang dehumanis. Peneliti menganalisis dan membuktikan dalam sejarah pembentukan masyarakat madani, ternyata terbentuknya masyarakat Madinah menjadi masyarakat madani merupakan hasil dari peran dari praktik pola komunikasi profetik yang dilakukan oleh Nabi Muhammad Saw. baik dari dimensi humanisasi, liberasi dan transendensi. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, dan metode penafsiran menggunakan metode tafsir maudhu>’i> (tematik). Sedangkan pendekatan yang dipakai adalah historical analysis (analisis sejarah), discourse analysis (analisis wacana), hermeneutik.
