Abstract

In a pluralistic society, social conflict often occurs with uncannycomplexity. The Sampang conflict between the Sunni and Shia Muslimcommunities has an impact on several things such as instability, socialuncertainty, also the decadence of unity and integrity. This article wantsto analyze the background of the conflict. In addition, this essay alsoattempts to explain the post-conflict peace building and reconciliationprocess and its important elements. This kind of conflict requires a specialapproach so that similar conflicts do not recur in the future. The methodused in this research is qualitative and descriptive analysis method. Thisresearch found that the conflict happened because of the differenceperception of each groups regarding the history of Islam which affectedstereortye between Sunni as majority group to Shia as Minority group inSampang, Madura. This research also found that the government ofIndonesia both local and Jakarta, failed to facilitate peace building andreconciliation process. It can be shown when the Shia refugees arerejected to come back to their village in Sampang by the Sunni Majority.

Abstract

Based on the fluctuating trend of human trafficking cases which is considered as still high in number, the Government of Indonesia should take serious action in combating these issues in Indonesia to protect the human rights of Indonesian citizens. The human security issue and actions taken by the Government of Indonesia will be the fundamental objective of this research. The theoretical framework used to analyze the issue in this study is the theory of Human Security, Role Theory, and the concept of Human Trafficking. To analyze the data, this study will use qualitative methods. The results show that the government has succeeded in managing several steps that are useful to increase awareness in cooperation and coordination between state institutions. The government has also kept the cooperation well with several foreign states and external parties to eradicate human trafficking not only in Indonesia but also in the international sphere.

Abstract

This article will discuss the polemic of the proposed Pancasila Ideology Bill (HIP Bill) which has recently been widely discussed by the public. There are several parts in to this bill that are contradictory and raise questions, considering that the concentration of this bill is the state's ideology. The values ??of Pancasila that are universal need to be translated specifically through the legislation and laws refer to the hierarchy of law in Indonesia, this basis is defined by the Legislative Body of the DPR to propose the HIP Bill. This paper use qualitative research method with descriptive analysis approach through the collection of related literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the purpose of the proposal, legal basis, as well as the content and content of the academic text of the HIP Bill is still unclear so caused debate and rejection from the society.
