Abstract

Dyspepsia is a syndrome consisting of pain or discomfort in the gut, bloating, nausea, vomiting, belching, feeling full quickly, and a full stomach. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors for dyspepsia, with a total of 112 cases in April 2019. This study used the Analytical Observational method with a Cross-Sectional Study approach. The research location based on the existing population was carried out in the scope of the work area of ​​the Bira Community Health Center in Makassar City with a sample size of 88 respondents from the calculation using the Slovin formula. Sampling using purposive sampling with consideration of the inclusion and exclusion criteria of population characteristics. Primary data collection uses a questionnaire with a Gutman scale and secondary data uses references related to problem needs found in the research location. Statistical results using the Chi-Square Test based on data found in the field show p-value = 0.003 ≤ 0.05 which indicates a significant relationship in knowledge behavior, p = 0.711 ≥ 0.05 which indicates no significant relationship with age, p = 0.040 ≤ 0.05, which indicates that there is a significant relationship between diet and risk factors for dyspepsia. There are two factors that are at risk of affecting the incidence of dyspepsia, namely knowledge, and irregular eating patterns

Abstract

Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) is a seasonal herbaceous plant from the Solanaceae family which has many benefits, one of which is as an antifungal. Research has been carried out on the formulation and physical stability test of the ethanol extract of the leaves of Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) as anti-fungi. The goal is to find out that ciplukan leaves contain chemical substances that can inhibit the growth of fungi on the skin and can be formulated into powder preparations. This research is a laboratory experimental research. This research includes identification tests for alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, steroids, and tannins. The powder formulations were FI (without extract), FII (extract 10%), and FIII (extract 20%). The stability test of the preparation includes the organoleptic test, homogeneity, fine degree, pH, adhesion, and hedonic test. The results of the research identified positive compounds containing alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. In the stability test, all formulations showed the results according to the literature, the hedonic test was not irritating and formula FII was preferred. The conclusion is that the ethanol extract of ciplukan leaves contains antifungal compounds and can be formulated into powder with good stability

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai Inventarisasi Tanaman Obat Untuk Penderita Diabetes Melitus Dan Hipertensi yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui Bagaimana gambaran penggunaan tanaman obat diabetes melitus dan hipertensi yang digunakan oleh Masyarakat Desa Minanga Kecamatan Bambang Kabupaten Mamasa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 11 jenis tanaman obat untuk Diabetes melitus dan 14 jenis tanaman obat untuk penyakit hipertensi yang digunakan oleh masyarakat di Desa Minanga Kecamatan Bambang Kabupaten Mamasa, bagian tumbuhan yang dominan digunakan adalah daun bagian lain yang digunakan yaitu akar, dan buah. Adapun acra pengolahan yang paling dominan adalah dengan merebus bagian tanaman.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai Studi Perbandingan Tingkat Pengetahuan Masyarakat Tentang Obat Herbal dan Obat Sintetik di Campagayya Kelurahan Panaikang Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat pengetahuan manyarakat tentang obat herbal dan obat sintetik di Campagayya Kelurahan Panaikang Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang mencakup survey dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Campagayya Kelurahan Panaikang Kota Makassar pada bulan Maret 2019 dengan jumlah sampel 52 orang dengan criteria umur 17-66 tahun, berpendidikan minimal SMA, bias berkomunikasi dan bersedia diwawancarai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat di Campagayya Kelurahan Panaikang Kota Makassar tentang obat herbal dan obat sintetik masuk dalam kategori sedang dengan masing masing persentasi yaitu 65,2% dan 62,1% yang menyatakan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat tentang obat herbal lebihtinggi dibandingkan dengan obat sintetik.

Abstract

Hiperlipidemia merupakan gangguan metabolisme lipid yang menjadi penyebab utama timbulnya penyakit kardiovaskular. Daun suji mengandung flavonoid yang dapat berperan sebagai antihiperlipidemia Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi efektivitas pemberian ekstrak daun suji (Pleomele angustifolia)dengan variasi dosis terhadap kadar kolesterol total pada tikus putih yang diberikan dengan pakan tinggi kolesterol dan suspensi propiltiurasil (PTU). Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental laboratorik dengan rancangan acak lengkap. Hewan uji yang digunakan adalah tikus putih sebanyak 15 ekor yang dibagi secara acak menjadi 5 kelompok, setiap kelompok terdiri dari 3 ekor tikus putih. Kelompok 1 (kontrol negatif) diberi Na CMC 1%, kelompok 2, 3, dan 4 diberi ekstrak daun suji dengan konsentrasi 0,6%, 1,3% dan 2% b/v serta kelompok 5 (kontrol positif) yang diberi atorvastatin. Pengukuran kadar kolesterol darah total tikus dengan menggunakan alat multicheck (Nesco). Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji One Way Anova dan menunjukkan ekstrak daun suji dapat menurunkan secara bermakna (p < 0,05) kadar kolesterol total. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun suji 2% b/v merupakan dosis yang paling efektif dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol total.
