Abstract

This study aims to obtain data and information about the application of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model to improving learning outcomes in writing exposition texts of class X IPS 4 Bukittinggi Public High School 4 2016/2017 academic year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPS 5, amounting to 36 people consisting of 17 male students and 19 female students. The technique of collecting data uses observation, observation, and tests. The data obtained is then analyzed to draw conclusions. The results of this study can be seen from the increase in the initial precycle average with a percentage of completeness of 38.9%, after the first cycle increased to 75%, while the percentage of completeness in the second cycle increased significantly to 95%. The implication of this research is that the application of the Cooperative Learning Jigsaw Model can improve the learning outcomes of writing exposition texts of class X IPS 4 students at Bukittinggi 4 Public High School.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the improvement of writing skill of negotiation of class X IPS 5 SMA Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. The findings of the study on the results of improving the negotiating text writing skills through the CIRC cooperative learning model of X IPS 5 grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Bukittinggi were carried out well. The percentage of student completeness has increased, namely in the pre-cycle the percentage of completeness as much as 44.5% with an average value of 65.7, in the first cycle after being given treatment to 69.5% with an average value of 76.9, and in the second cycle being 83.4% with an average value of 86.5. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan: (1) proses peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks anekdot siswa, (2) hasil peningkatan keterampilan menulis esai siswa kelas X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. Data penelitian diperoleh dari data kualitatif berupa lembar observasi, catatan lapangan dan data kuantitatif berupa dari tes unjuk kerja. Temuan penelitian terhadap proses peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks anekdot melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif JIGSAW siswa kelas X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 4 Bukittinggi terlaksana dengan baik. Rata-rata hasil tes mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan, yaitu rata-rata pada prasiklus 60, pada siklus I 78, dan pada siklus II 92,2.
