Abstract

Nilai-nilai kearifan lokal diyakini mampu menjadi alternatif dalam fase-fase penurunan intensitas konflik. Nilai-nilai itu menjadi pegangan kelompok masyarakat tertentu yang biasanya akan menjadi bagian hidup tak terpisahkan yang dapat diamati melalui sikap dan perilaku mereka sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri pola penyelesaian konflik berbasis kearifan lokal etnis Sikka Krowe. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan Du’a Moan Watu Pitu sebagai lembaga penyelesai konflik memiliki peran utama dalam upaya penyelesaian konflik dengan menjunjung tinggi nilai perdamaian ‘ali abo papan kewe.’ Pola penyelesaian konflik dalam tiga tahap yaitu repot, lahi dagir bega bolet, dan bura dame. Sanksi yang diberikan sebagai hasil dari lahi dagir bega bolet kepada pihak yang diputuskan bersalah tidak bersifat membebankan atau menyiksa tetapi lebih kepada memperbaiki keseimbangan yang terganggu. Bura dame sebagai sebagai bagian akhir dalam proses penyelesaian konflik mengikat kedua pihak yang berkonflik untuk berdamai dan jika dilanggar maka akan menanggung akibat dari sumpah yang telah dilaksanakan

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi menjadi salah satu peluang yang dapat dimanfaatkan guru dalam meningkatkan pola pembelajarannya. Banyaknya perangkat lunak yang tersedia dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menarik minat belajar para murid peserta didiknya. Fasilitas internet yang tersedia juga menjadi peluang besar untuk dapat memperkaya konten materi yang dapat disiapkan untuk disampaikan kepada peserta didiknya yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas peserta didiknya. Oleh karena itu diperlukan strategi guna meningkatkan kualitas dan kreativitas guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis multimedia interaktif menggunakan software Adobe Flash Cs 6 di MIS Muhammadiyah Darussalam kabupaten Sikka Maumere, NTT. Metode yang diterapkan dalam pelatihan ini, yaitu metode presentasi, metode demonstrasi, dan metode praktik. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat adalah para guru mampu mengemas konten pembelajran yang tersaji dalam media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif yang menarik.

Abstract

The  aim  of  this  study  is  to  identify  types  of  idioms  found  in  Sikka Krowe dialect  in Nita sub district of Sikka regency.  The data were taken through interviews and observations. Qualitative method was used in analyzing the data.  As the result, the type of Idiomatic expressions was found.  Those idiomatic expressions are divided into two types; they are classified base on the closeness of the elements and base on the elements of formulation. There are 9 full idioms and 6 partial idioms in the closeness of the elements classification and 10 idioms with part of body: 4 idioms with the word senses, 2 idioms with color; 1 idiom with the names of object name; 4 idiom with animal name; 1 idiom with lant parts, 2 Idiom numeralia, 1 idiom of verba, 1 idiom of nouns, 1 idiom of adjectives.  Meanwhile, the meaning of idiomatic expressions was based on the context of the dialogues and the narratives in Sikka Krowe dialect in Nita sub district of Sikka regency.

Abstract

This research was aimed at finding and describing about English and Sikka Krowe language verb forms, the similarities and differences of both language verb forms, the implications of the similarities and differences of English and Sikka Krowe language verbs in teaching English in EFL setting. This research was classified as a qualitative study. The techniques of data collection used in this research were interview and study document. The result of the research showed that both English and Sikka Krowe language verbs changed based on subjects. There are some verbs which do not change. The difference was that Sikka Krowe language verbs did not have any grammatical tense as in English. Each subject has its own verb form which is used for all times. English have six basic verb forms namely base, to infinitive, present, past, present participle and pas participle whereas Sikka Krowe language only has base forms which different for each subject. Since the difference of both language is caused by the grammatical tense of the verbs, the recommended methods which could be applied are grammar translation method and community language learning.

Abstract

This research aims to find out animal lexemes used in the Sikka-Krowe proverb and the lexical and metaphorical meanings of each animal lexeme used and identify the realm in the Sikka-Krowe proverb. This research used qualitative research methods and the data of this research consist of primary data where primary data obtained through interview and secondary data where the data collected by literature study process. The chosen informants in this research are chieftain and traditional stakeholder. Of course, both informants are native speaker of Sikka-Krowe language. The data collection techniques used are literature study and interview. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data display (data presentation) and conclusion drawing/verification. The result of this research shows animal lexeme proverbs in Sikka-Krowe language. The animal lexeme proverbs found and classified according to six animal classifications, they are; mammals, eves/birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and insect/invertebrate. The research proves that animal lexeme in the proverbs of Sikka-Krowe that shows the Sikka-Krowe community’s view of life which were divided into four domains of use, namely it was used in the realm of family life, community life, spiritual life, and the work environment.

Abstract

This research was aimed at finding and describing about the affixation process of Verbs in Bajo Language, and the finding similarities and differences of verbs in English and Bajo language. This research was classified as a descriptive qualitative study. The techniques of data collection used in this research were interview and study document. The data were analyzed by using contrastive analysis. The result of the research showed that most of verbs in Bajo language changed based on meaning. The change on meaning could be formed from affixation process. Affixation process of verbs in Bajo language there is prefix process, suffix process, simulfix process, and confix process. While affixation process of verbs in English, there is prefix process, suffix process and confix process. The similarities of affixation process of verbs in English and Bajo language are both have the prefix process, suffix process, confix process in the morphological process. Difference was affixation process of verbs is in English did not have simulfix process of affixation process.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to find out the forms of code mixing and the dominant forms of code mixing used by podcaster and guest star on Ruang Sandi podcast. The researcher took the data from six videos on Ruang Sandi podcast, from June 2020 until January 2021, especially the woman guest stars aged 20 to 30 years. This research was descriptive qualitative. The researcher used documentation method in collecting the data and then the data were classified using Suwito’s theory and presented in table form. Based on the result of the study, the researcher found that there were 705 code mixing consisting of 290 insertion of word, 216 insertion of phrase, 75 insertion of hybrid, 18 insertion of reduplication, 11 insertion of idiom, and 95 insertion of clause. The dominant forms was insertion of word with the percentage 41,13%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the types of questions used by English teachers during teaching and learning process. This is a qualitative descriptive research carried out at seventh grade in SMPs in Nita Sub District. Data were collected through class observation and interviews with teachers. The data is analyzed based on Miles and Huberman which consists of 3 techniques in analyzing data namely data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that English teachers at seventh grade of SMPs in Nita sub district used six types of questions namely; remembering question, understanding question, applying question, analysis question, evaluating question, creating question. The impact of applying various questioning strategy during learning process are students become more enthusiastic about the learning in which they actively ask the teacher back if the material they cannot fully understand.
