Abstract

Background: From 2-5 years old is called the preschool years, one of child development in this main area is sensory and motor development. Father’s figure has become an important resource for children under 5 year developing self regulation skills. Aims: This study aims to know father participation of motor development for children under 5 year. Method: This is a research survey using cross sectional analysis (range spearman) with 77 respondent taken from total sampling technique. Data collection was done in one month (April-May, 2013) using questionnaires and DDST (Denver Development Screening Test). Result: The research indicates that 82% children have normal motor development with father who participates in caring process,, whilst 50% children without father participation have an incomplete motor development. There are positive correlation between father participation and motor development for children under 5 years Conclusion: Fathers participation is necessary for development of child’s motor.

Abstract

Infants aged 0-6 months can grow optimally by relying on breast milk for the first 6 months of life. But in fact, before the age of 6 months, many babies have been given complementary feeding (MP-ASI). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between early complementary feeding and the incidence of diarrhea in infants aged 0-6 months at Integrated Healthcare Center Ngaglik, Batu City. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. The location and time of the study was at Integrated Healthcare Center Ngaglik, Batu City from January 2021 to March 2020. The independent variable (X) was early breastfeeding and the dependent variable (Y) was the incidence of diarrhea in infants aged 0-6 months. The total population is 32 mothers who have babies aged 0-6 months with a sample of 32 respondents. The sampling method used a total sampling technique, which is a sampling technique when all members of the population are used as samples. The data obtained were then analyzed using a descriptive statistical approach. By using a simple linear regression model method. The t value of the variable giving early complementary feeding (X) is 29.435 > ttable 2.039, which means that there is a significant relationship between the provision of early complementary feeding (X) and the incidence of diarrhea in infants aged 0-6 months (Y). The calculated F value is 866,415 > from the F value of 0.05 (4.17) meaning that there is a significant relationship between the variable of early breastfeeding (X) and the incidence of diarrhea in infants aged 0-6 months (Y). The R-square value of 0.967 means that the relationship between early complementary feeding and the incidence of diarrhea in infants aged 0-6 months is 96.7%, while the other 3.3% is influenced by other factors not studied. Keywords : MP-ASI, Diarrhea.

Abstract

One of the problems in the breastfeeding process is regurgitation. Efforts to prevent regurgitation include training in the proper breastfeeding technique. Hold the baby upright so that the air swallowed while sucking can be released. This research analyzes the relationship between breastfeeding position and the occurrence of regurgitation in infants aged 0-6 months in Songgokerto village, Batu city. This study is designed as quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach and uses a post-test only study. Therefore, all mothers with children aged 0-6 months in the Songgokerto sub-district became respondents in this study. The sample size in this study was 30 mothers who have infants aged 0-6 months who experience regurgitation. Univariate data analysis and bivariate analysis with anova test and linear regression test analysis. Analysis result of t count > t table, which is -2.918 > -2.056. This means that there is a significant relationship between Breastfeeding Position and the Occurrence of Regurgitation. The statistical analysis result shows that F count > F table, which is 33.305 > 2.975. This indicates a significant relationship between the variable Breastfeeding Technique (X) and Occurrence of Regurgitation (Y). The analysis result of the R-squared value for variable X (Breastfeeding Position) is 0.794, meaning that the breastfeeding position affects the occurrence of regurgitation by 79.4%, while the remaining 20.6% is influenced by other factors not studied. The significant relationship between breastfeeding position and the occurrence of regurgitation.
