Abstract

The provision of clean water in Takengon City, Aceh Tengah Regency is provided by PDAM Tirta Tawar, one of which is through the water network of Oregon Mendale Water Treatment Plant (IPA). However, a preliminary survey at the Oregon Mendale IPA source suggested inadequate water for the community. The aim of this research is to know the factors that must be fulfilled so that a clean water network system can run smoothly. This includes water flow, pressure and flows continuity, maximum daily factor (Fmax) and real peak factor (Fpeak) of the existing network. This study is also to understand the clean water distribution network in the Oregon Mendale IPA resource area. This research uses a descriptive method and field observation. This study suggests the following: the average water consumption is 0,426 m3/customer/day, the maximum water pressure is 1.517 m and the continuity of flow is 6 hours every day. The maximum daily factor value (Fmax) in Kecamatan Kebayakan is 1.13-1.39 and the peak hour factor (Fpeak) is 1.13-1.41. These results suggested that the existing Oregon Mendale IPA is not running optimally.

Abstract

Tsunami evacuation buildings in the tsunami-prone zone area are essential to minimize the number of fatalities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the behavior of the existing building structures caused by earthquake and tsunami loads in the Baitussalam District. The existing buildings that were reviewed were the SD 1 Lambada Klieng Building and the Syahamah Aceh Putra Foundation Building. The methodology in determining the capacity of the existing structures by conducting a field assessment to obtain data on existing buildings which will then be modeled, both existing buildings and a potential design of buildings using structural analysis software. for analysis. The results of the analysis show that the existing buildings need to be strengthened and redesigned to be able to withstand the effects of earthquake and tsunami loads. The remodeled of the buildings included modifying the column dimensions and also additional building stories. The remodeled of the existing building structures to become the tsunami evacuation structures is safe enough against earthquake loads and tsunami loads that occur.

Abstract

The Cubo Trienggadeng Irrigation Schme in Pidie Jaya District fulfills irrigation water depending on the Cubo Trienggadeng Dam which has a fluctuating discharge. The Cubo Trienggadeng Irrigation Scheme divides three technical rotation zones to avoid water user conflicts. In the growing season, rendeng planting season can irrigate the entire rice field area of the Cubo Trienggadeng Irrigation Scheme, while during the gadu planting season (May to August) it can only irrigate an area of 428,25 Ha of rice fields in zone I of a total functional area of 1.090 Ha. To fill irrigation water there are reservoirs in the zone II area which can provide water deposits as reserves with Hutan Pantang small dam. The source of the small dam is from rainwater harvesting, because there is no inflow that enters the reservoir. The primary data in this study is by observing small dam, irrigation area and irrigation network and measuring the dimensions of the carrier channel while secondary data obtained from previous studies and other related institutions, namely technical data on small dam, rainfall, irrigation network schemes. The optimization technique model is used to solve the problems , this study uses non-linear programs with Microsoft Excel solver. In reservoir optimizing for service area, it is expected to be able to solve the problem. The service area of Hutan Pantang small dam covers 84,25 Ha, which requires the largest discharge rate of 0,19 m3 / sec with a water surface height of 1,77 m and a volume of reservoir 278,161.66 m3 capable of operating 100% to meet reliability. The results achieved are optimal small dam operation, where the reliability of small dam affects the volume of the reservoir

Abstract

Irrigation infrastructure does not last long without being supported by continuous maintenance activities as the age of water building grows in irrigation networks. To maintain a sustainable irrigation system an irrigation management system is needed starting from the main building, the primary network to the secondary network. Irrigation Performance is an indicator in order to describe an irrigation system management, performance appraisal according to Minister of Public Works Regulation Number 12/PRT/M/2015 concerning Exploitation and Maintenance of Irrigation Networks is carried out on 6 (six) parameters, namely : Physical Infrastructure, Planting Productivity, Facilities Support, Personnel Organization, Documentation and Water User Farmers Association. The objective of this study was to conduct a performance assessment of D.I Jeuram through observing the condition of irrigation networks and analyzing the irrigation network condition data from the implementing agency D.I Jeuram and information from the P3A as a reference for the performance of D.I Jeuram. The results of this study show that the performance of the Jeuram Irrigation Area in terms of physical and non-physical aspects has a performance index of 69.36%, so that the performance of the Jeuram Irrigation Area falls into the less performance category and needs attention, so efforts to improve performance in Irrigation Areas are suggested. Jeuram, namely the aspect of physical infrastructure consists of routine maintenance activities from the main building to the final secondary canal (B.Jr.30), periodic maintenance includes replacement of the operating board and measuring ruler on the weir, replacement of missing door parts in weir drains, bag draining periodic mud, replacement of 16 door units at Jeuram Kanan and 6 door units at Jeuram Kiri, heavy rehabilitation in buildings tapping B.Jr.9, B.Jr.13, BU.1 and BU.2, and constructing drain inlets in sections carrier channel that functions as a waster. Efforts to improve the performance of aspects of non-physical infrastructure consist of providing adequate facilities for offices, housing and OM implementation warehouses, providing complete irrigation Area data at branch offices and conducting routine meetings related to OM implementation and cropping patterns. With this, the value of the performance of the irrigation system is obtained with a reliable, and which will later become a reference for the management of irrigation networks as a whole.

Abstract

A coastal area has important and vital influences on community’s lives due to the natural resource availability. The coastal area occurs any changes over time affecting the changes in the community and in the ecological perspectives. Banda Aceh is one of the coastal areas that has experienced several significant changes especially after earthquake and tsunami on December, 26th 2004. Due to the condition, it is required to analyze coastal vulnerability in Banda Aceh and neighbor. This research was aimed to investigate the influences of physic parameters consisting of hydrodynamic and morphology parameters on determining Coastal Vulnerability Index (CVI). The analysis will determine the coastal vulnerability index in one year period. The analysis was carried out in the northern coast of Aceh Province, between Ujong Pancu and Ujung Batee by dividing the areas into 5 (five) cells bordered by natural morphology feature such as inlet, headland, river estuary, and lagoon. Based on 6 (six) physical parameters used on coastal vulnerability index (CVI) determination, it is obtained that 2 cells have low risk potential (green), which are Cell 1 and Cell 3 with the CVI values are 2.45 and 3.0, respectively. Cell 2 has moderate risk potential (yellow) with CVI value is 4.24. Meanwhile, Cell 4 and Cell 5 have high risk potential (red) with CVI values are 5.20

Abstract

The analysis of Waste Transportion Performance in Zone III of Banda Aceh managed to evaluate the waste transport system related to the pattern of waste collection and transportation, the frequency of transportation and the number of waste transport vehicles in zone III, so optimization can be done. Primary data is obtained by observing the process of transporting waste directly in the field and interviewing the parties that involved. Observations were made on each vehicle that carrying waste twice a day (morning and afternoon/night). The vehicles that will be observed consists of 11 dumptrucks, 1 compactor truck, 2 armrolltruck, so the number of observations is 14 days. The application of the pattern of waste collection with the door to door system in some zone III does not match the standards set. The amount of trip for dumptruck can be increased to 3 trips/day, 4 trip/day for compactors truck and 11 trips/day for armroll trucks. Better waste disposal can save dumptruck transportation time 2.18 hours/day or 27.26% and increase ritation to 3 trips/day. The addition of transport trips increases the potential amount of waste transportation up to 59.17% from 48.10 tons/day to 76.56 tons/day. The needs for waste transportation based on the calculation results can be optimized to 10 units, while currently used is 14 units. Inadequate of work equipment, there is no special training for workers and a lack of public awareness in properly disposing waste can be a barrier in waste transportation services.

Abstract

Daerah Irigasi (D.I.) Baro has a total area of 11.950 ha which consists of Baro Kanan area of 8,920 Ha and Baro Kiri area of 3.030 Ha. Maximum cropping intensity indeks of D.I. Baro ranged between 183%-213%. This shows that D.I. Baro is unable to meet the water needs for his extensive irrigation services. One of the factors that influence the planning and regulation of irrigation water is cropping pattern. The aims of this research is to get the best cropping pattern, so that the distribution of irrigation water discharge available in D.I. Baro can be done optimally, knowing the need of irrigation water in D.I. Baro, knowing the maximum plantable area that irrigation can irrigate, and knowing the maximum profit that can be achieved by optimization. Compilation of mathematical models to get the maximum benefit that can be achieved by optimizing land area. The data collected in this study is secondary data. The method used is an optimization method using a linear program.
