Abstract

This research is a study on increasing cognitive ability to classify objects through playing activities with natural media at home during the Covid 19 pandemic. The background of this research is that students' ability to classify objects is still low. It is evident from the 15 children, only 4 students or 26.67% are included in the BSB and BSH categories. The purpose of this study is to prove that the use of playing activities with natural media at home can improve cognitive ability to classify objects during the Covid 19 Pandemic Period in Group A Students of Marsudi Ilmi Cabak Kindergarten, Tlogowungu District, Pati Regency. This research belongs to the type of Classroom Action Research. The action plan consists of two cycles, namely: cycle I, and cycle II with each cycle having two meetings, with each cycle consisting of four stages, namely: planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The subjects studied were 15 children in group A of Marsudi Ilmi Tlogowungu Pati Kindergarten, consisting of 7 boys and 8 girls. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis techniques include: qualitative analysis and comparative analysis by calculating the percentage of children's cognitive abilities which are then compared to the percentage of completeness pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The results of the study prove that the use of playing activities with natural media at home can improve cognitive ability to classify objects during the Covid 19 pandemic in group A students of Marsudi Ilmi Cabak Kindergarten, Tlogowungu District, Pati Regency, for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. It is evident from the cognitive ability to classify students' objects in the pre-cycle which are included in the category of Very Good Developing (BSB) and Developing According to Expectations (BSH) only 26.67%. Then it increased in the first cycle of meeting 1 to 46.67% and meeting 2 to 60.00%. Then it increased again in the second cycle of meeting 1 to 63.33% and meeting 2 to 93.33%. Thus, it is known that there is an increase of 66.66%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTHistory Education Study Program is not a favorite study program in a university, especially at this time in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, an increasingly modern era with science and technology that continues to develop. Through historical learning, the young generation is expected to be wise in responding to opportunities and challenges in every changing era. An understanding of the history of the nation can strengthen a sense of nationalism or strengthen identity as a nation, so that students or young people have a strong personality or principle in facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. In fact, the History Education Study Program is still in demand, even though the enthusiasts are not as big as other study programs such as the PPKn study program or the Economic Education Study Program, there are several reasons that motivate entry to the History Study Program, among others: because they were motivated by history teachers when they were in schools before, but there are those who are genuinely interested because they understand the function of the History subject as a means of strengthening the national identity. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 is a challenge for prospective history teachers, because they must have technological competence to support history learning. Strong motivation and positive perceptions of the existence of the History Study Program can help graduates adapt to technology so that they have competence. Keywords: Historical Education, Industrial Revolution 4.0

Abstract

Sebagai suatu masyarakat yang tinggal di kawasan pesisir, masyarakat nelayan mempunyai karakteristik kehidupan tersendiri yang berbeda dengan masyarakat yang tinggal di wilayah daratan. Karakteristik yang menjadi ciri-ciri sosial budaya masyarakat nelayan adalah memiliki struktur relasi patron-klien yang sangat kuat,dan etos kerja yang tinggi. Kondisi masyarakat nelayan atau masyarakat pesisir di berbagai kawasan secara umum ditandai oleh adanya beberapa ciri, seperti kemiskinan, keterbelakangan sosial–budaya, rendahnya kulaitas sumber daya manusia. Permasalahan penelitian adalah bagaimana kehidupan sosial, budaya, ekonomi dan pendidikan pada masyarakat nelayan di wilayah Kelurahan Jobokuto Kecamatan Jepara Kabupaten Jepara. Hasil penelitian diperoleh simpulan mayoritas penduduk Kelurahan Jobokuto ke camatan Jepara Kabupaten Jepara beprofesi sebagai nelayan secara turun temurun. Tingkat Pendidikan masyarakat nelayan masih tergolong rendah dan tidak mempunyai ketrampilan untuk bekerja selain sebagai nelayan. Di tinjau dari kehidupan ekonomi, masyarakat nelayan rata-rata termasuk golongan menengah ke bawah. Sedangkan Nilai sosial dan solidaritas masyarakat Kelurahan Jobokuto tergolong cukup tinggi.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe and analyze: 1) the scope of multicultural education; 2) multicultural education approches in plural countries; and 3) the urgency of multiculturalism-based education in educational institution. Types of research used qualitative with fenomenology approach. The research held in Semarang with the objects some of public and private senior high school/vocational school. The key informan is policy maker in Semarang education authorities, whereas the additional informan is senior high school/vocational school history teachers in Semarang. Data collection technique used observation and interview, whereas data analysis technique used interactive from Miles and Huberman. The result of the research concluded that multiculturalism-based education is education that specifically focuses on understanding and awareness of the diversity of cultural values. Cultural diversity is something that must be considered by curriculum developers and must be able to accommodate cultural differences, use of culture as a source of content and a starting point for cultural development, understanding of other people’s culture, tolerance, awakening a national spirit based on unity in diversity, development of ethical behaviour, and what is no less important is being able to utilize personal culture as part of entry-behaviour.
