Abstract

Comparative Study to New Zealand conducted by Director General GTK on 16 October to November 2017 in order to implement Inpres No. 9 year 2016 on the revitalization of vocational schools, by developing the educator human resources productive teachers to be more competent, skilled and can make the network, especially best teaching practices. By observing, understanding the educational system, effective, efficient, and the way teachers teach with Inquiry learning, Project base learning, Collaborative learning and application of IT both in class and out of class in New Zealand make a source of inspiration that can be applied in Indonesia.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the performance and achievement of Physics learning outcomes of XKR1 students at SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta with the application of the Problem Based Learning model in learning Physics of Competence in Heat Temperature and Mechanical Properties of Materials. This research is two cycles, each cycle includes four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed an increase in cycle performance 1: 22.50%, cycle 2: 38.75%, an increase of 16.25%. Increased Physics learning achievement pre-cycle average of 30.75, cycle 1 averaged 65.08, in cycle 2 the average was 72.50. This study was 2 cycles, because in cycle 2, achievement of student learning outcomes reached an average on average 70, the application of the PBL model needs to be applied because of the increase in performance and achievement of learning outcomes.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to increase learning motivation and student achievement in Physics learning in XTL2 grade SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta through the Group Investigation (GI) model in learning Fluid and Wave Competence Physics. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of 2-3 meetings, each meeting with an allocation of 3 lesson hours. Each cycle includes four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed that the increase in motivation to learn in the first cycle by 75%, in the second cycle of 90.63% an increase of 16.63%. Improvement of the average pre-cycle learning outcomes of 31.09, the first cycle of an average of 65.60 completed 28.13%, in the second cycle an average of 86.28, 68.75% complete. This research is 2 cycles, because in cycle II, learning motivation is more than 80%, and learning achievement achievement is more than 60%, the application of the GI model needs to be applied and continued in learning due to an increase in both learning motivation and learning achievement.

Abstract

The corona virus outbreak is taking place in Indonesia and global society since March, 2020. The virus spread from person to person through physical contact so that the government prohibit gathering activities. This condition forced application of online learning in the field of education. This study aims to measure the active presence, learning outcomes and effectiveness of online physics learning through WhatsApp, google form, and email. Topics in online physics learning were Heat (March 24, 2020) and Thermodynamics (March 31, 2020). This study is an evaluation research that conducted in the following steps: 1) Determine the schedule for Physics online learning for class X every Tuesday at 09.00-10.30 am (1.5 hour), 2) Create or using the available a WhatsApp group that had been created by homeroom teacher, 3) Create a google form for student attendance, 4) Create a link to be delivered in the WhatsApp group, therefore the structured assignments were delivered via email, 5) Review student assignments, and 6) Recapitule students’ active presence and physics learning outcomes. Results of the study reveal that the average of students’ active attendance at March 24, 2020 was 87.25%, and the average learning outcomes was 87.89. The average of students active attendance and the average learning outcomes at March 31, 2020 were 94.75%, and 79.66, respectively. The average achievement of active attendance and learning outcomes were 91% and 83.77, respectively. This result indicate that student achievement was passed the minimum competence level in physics, i.e 75. It can be concluded that online physics learning using WhatsApp for communication combined with google form for assessment is effective, both for teacher and students.

Abstract

Tracer study is a strategy to trace graduates in order to obtain valid data, the number of employed, entrepreneurship and continuing college. The “Pair system” strategy is a process of tracking alumni by involving new students looking for a partner in the closest area in order to increase the more updated / recent graduate data. The purpose of implementing the Pair System in graduate tracing is to describe the strategy for increasing the validity of graduate tracing through the Pair System and the graduate employment map according to competence. The method is, new students are paired with the closest alumni, either through digital communication and / or home visits, in addition to obtaining information, new students gain learning experiences from alumni. The “Pair System” strategy has gone through a process of micro and macro analysis of the school and then a SWOT analysis is carried out which takes into account the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges and is described in the SWOT matrix. The results of applying the Pair System tracing strategy were obtained 72% to 93%, there was an increase of 21%, while the results of the graduates' employment with this strategy were 52% to 72%. Work according to skill competencies, namely Light Vehicle Engineering expertise from 41% absorbed to 72%, Mechanical Engineering 50% to 70%, Electrical Power Installation Engineering from 33% to 68%, Audio Video Engineering 36% to 68%, modeling design and building information 43% to 52%. The implementation of strategies can increase the validity of tracing and employment, and is useful for building family ties, especially competence, communication and networking.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar Fisika di kelas XTP2 SMKN 3 Yogyakarta dengan penerapan Kelasiber Berbasis Video Pembelajaran Daring Fisika Kompetensi Listrik Statis dan Listrik DC. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan, setiap pertemuan dengan alokasi waktu dua jam pelajaran. Setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Kelasiber Berbasis Video Pembelajaran Daring dengan langkah-langkah menginformasikan masuk kelasiber, pencarian video pembelajaran, peserta didik menyaksikan video, mengerjakan latihan soal, guru menganalisis keaktifan dan hasil belajar, umpan balik hasil belajar. Keaktifan diukur dari: Kehadiran tepat waktu, Kehadiran mengajukan pertanyaan, dan melihat video sedangkan aspek hasil belajar diukur dari tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan keaktifan pada siklus I, ketepatan waktu sebesar 61,11%, kehadiran 72,22%, mengajukan pertanyaan 5,56%, melihat video 44,44%, pada siklus II ketepatan waktu sebesar 55,55%, kehadiran 80,55%, mengajukan pertanyaan 11.11%, melihat video 77,77%, sehingga rata-rata peningkatan keaktifan 47,22% menjadi 56,26%. Peningkatan hasil belajar Fisika rata-rata pra siklus 59,42, siklus I rata-rata 78, pada siklus II rata-rata 89. Peningkatan keaktifan 55% dan hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai rata-rata lebih dari 80, maka penerapan kelasiber berbasis video pembelajaran perlu diterapkan dan diteruskan dalam pembelajaran karena adanya peningkatan keaktifan maupun hasil belajar.

Abstract

Pengembangan media pembelajaran efek fotolistrik berupa serangkaian solar sel, bertujuan untuk: 1) studi kelayakan media pembelajaran efek fotolistrik, 2) mempermudah pemahaman siswa tentang efek fotolistrik, 3) membuat siswa menyukai pembelajaran efek fotolistrik dan 4) mengukur besarnya peran media pembelajaran solar sel dalam membantu pemahaman siswa. Proses pengembangan menggunakan model Borg & Gall: 1) Potensi (Masalah), 2) pengumpulan data, 3) desain produk validasi, 4) revisi, 5) uji coba, 6) revisi, 7) produk yang dihasilkan.yang dimulai dari desain rancangan dengan menggunakan 4 panel surya disusun pararel dihubungkan dengan kabel 2 buah kabel positif dan negatif, ke hambatan, kapasitor dan diode, kemudian ke lampu LED, produk dari desain di rangkai, hasilnya dinilaikan kepada ahli media, ahli materi dan pengguna, penilaian dari ahli media, ahli materi dan pengguna di rekapitulasi, untuk mengetahui kelayakan, hasil masukan dan saran untuk perbaikan produk. Hasil penilaian diperoleh rata-rata dari ahli media sebesar 4,00 kategori baik, ahli materi sebesar 4,40 kategori sangat baik dan pengguna diperoleh rata-rata 3,85 kategori baik dan media layak untuk digunakan, siswa yang memahami materi efek fotolistrik dengan media sebesar 58%, siswa yang menyukai pembelajaran efek fotolistrik dengan media 27% amat baik, 35% baik, siswa menilai peran media pembelajaran efek fotolistrik, 46% amat baik dan 35% baik.
