Abstract

In the online learning process, the teacher's control over student activities during learning is very limited. This limited interaction in online learning makes students less active in learning so that it hampers the learning process and results. This research is a classroom action research with the subject of class XII IPA 3 students of SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta totaling 36 students, with details of 19 female students and 17 male students. The research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The research was conducted in two cycles. This study aims to increase student activity and statistical learning outcomes by using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Microsoft Excel. The results showed that the activity and statistical learning outcomes of students could be increased by using the “Problem Based Learning” learning model assisted by Microsoft Excel in learning statistics. The increase in student activity from the pre-cycle (initial state) was 54.75%, to 72.80% in the first cycle, and in the second cycle to 80.21%. While the increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes from the pre-cycle (initial state) with an average value of 76.19, to 76.59 in the first cycle, and in the second cycle to 82.75.
