Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of the availability of human resources and work facilities on the performance of firefighters at the Sorong Fire Department. The data used are primary data collected through observation and distribution of questionnaires. To measure these variables, multiple linear regression and the coefficient of determination are used with the help of the IBM SPSS 23 computer application program. Based on the results of the study, it is shown that from the results of the T test, the Sig value for the effect of variable X1 (availability of human resources) on Y (employee performance) is 0.006 <0.05 so it can be concluded that there is no effect of X1 on Y. The Sig value for the effect of variable X2 (work facilities) on Y (Employee Performance) is 0.001 > 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is no effect of X1 on Y. and the results of f test count of 39.749 with a significance level 0.000. The probability is much smaller than the significance level of 0.05 or 5%, so that H0 is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is no simultaneous influence (together) between the influence of the availability of human resources and work facilities on employee performance at the Sorong City Fire Department (DAMKAR).

Abstract

Papua is an island located in the eastern part of Indonesia. This island is famous for its various natural riches, agricultural products and unique culture. In the era of globalization, Papuan culture has experienced a drastic decline, with many young people abandoning their culture as native Papuans and following the times with modern culture. Without them realizing, there are many aspects and opportunities that can be developed to help the economy and can even introduce the world to the beauty of Papua through the art of painting. One of the characteristics of Papua is the beauty of the bird of paradise. This beauty can be used as an illustration of business potential by making art paintings of birds of paradise. Young people must play an important role in promoting the beauty of Papuan paintings through social media and showing the world that the potential of young people to produce works can be appreciated.

Abstract

Noken is a traditional bag made from woven or knitted plant fibers. Noken, as a native Papuan culture that has received recognition from UNESCO, is a native Papuan handicraft whose sustainability needs to be taken into account. Protection for Papuan noken is a form of preserving the community of its heirs in maintaining the level of extinction and becoming a bond between themselves and their natural life. The method used is qualitative with the data collection technique being library research, where the author examines several library sources as references in this writing. Preserving noken is not only important to maintain the continuity of Papuan culture, but also as an effort to unify the culture between more than 250 ethnic groups in Papua.
