Abstract

The research aims to describe the readability of the procedural script, the readability of the learning curriculum, the readability of teaching materials of Sasaknase folklore books, the effectiveness of the script implementation, and the effectiveness of increasing reading interest of the students through Sasaknese folklore to their literacy understanding. It is conducted by using quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data analysis is carried out by employing descriptive and t-test analysis. The result of the research shows that there is a significant influence of the growing interest in reading through Sasaknese folklore towards students’ literacy enhancement.

Abstract

 Abstrak: Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan yang berada di kawasan Cincin Api Pasifik sehingga mengakibatkan tingginya potensi bencana alam, terutama di daerah pantai dan pegunungan. Sebagian masyarakat penyandang status buta aksara tinggal di kawasan yang berpotensi terjadi bencana alam seperti gempa bumi dan tsunami. Pengetahuan tentang mitigasi bencana sangat penting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap orang, termasuk warga buta aksara sebagai bekal kemampuan diri ketika menghadapi suatu bencana. Masyarakat sudah saatnya memahami pentingnya mitigasi, yakni upaya mengurangi risiko bencana agar terampil dan terlatih menolong diri sendiri dan orang lain apabila terjadi bencana. Pendidikan keaksaraan dasar literasi mitigasi bencana dibutuhkan karena sebagian besar masyarakat buta aksara belum memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang mitigasi bencana. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran pendidikan keaksaraan dasar literasi mitigasi bencana dan mengembangkan materi bahan ajar mitigasi bencana. Populasi penelitian dan pengembangan adalah pendidik dan peserta didik pendidikan keaksaraan dasar di Kabupaten Lombok Barat dan Lombok Utara. Penelitian dan pengembangan inidilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis uji-t.Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa keterbacaan naskah model pendidikan keaksaraan dasar literasi mitigasi bencana menurut responden adalah sangat sesuai. Keterbacaan bahan ajar literasi mitigasi bencana menurut responden adalah sangat sesuai. Penyelenggaraan model pendidikan keaksaraan dasar literasimitigasi bencana menurut responden sangat mudah dilaksanakan. Model pendidikan keaksaraan dasar literasi mitigasi bencana signifi kan meningkatkan literasi pengetahuan peserta didik.Abstract : Indonesia is an archipelago located in the Pacifi c Ring of Fire, resulting in a high possibility fornatural disasters, especially in coastal and mountainous areas. Some people with illiteracy status live in those areas that have the potential for natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis. Knowledge of disaster mitigation is very important for everyone, including illiterate people to equip themselves when facing a disaster.The community needs to understand the importance of mitigation, in order to reduce disaster risk so that they are skilled and trained to help themselves and others in the event of a disaster. Basic literacy education for disaster mitigation literacy is needed because most illiterate people do not yet have knowledge and skills regarding disastermitigation. The research and development aim to develop a learning model for basic literacy education for disaster mitigation and to develop teaching materials for disaster mitigation. The research and development population are educators and students of basic literacy education in West Lombok and North Lombok Regencies. This research and development are carried out with a quantitative approach. Data analysis use descriptive analysis and t-testanalysis. The results of research and development show that the readability of the basic literacy education modelfor disaster mitigation literacy according to respondents is very applicable. The readability of disaster mitigation literacy teaching materials according to respondents is very applicable. According to respondents, the basic literacy education model for disaster mitigation literacy is very easy to be implemented. The basic literacy education model for disaster mitigation literacy is effective/signifi cant in increasing the knowledge literacy of students.
