Abstract

This research aims to explore the potential of textile waste recycling in the manufacture of deluxe ready-to-wear fashion products by applying quilting techniques. Against the background of the textile industry that generates huge waste and significant environmental impact, this research tries to provide a sustainable solution by utilizing textile waste as the main material. The Design Thinking method is used in five stages, namely Empathize to understand user needs and problems faced, Define to determine the problems to be solved, Ideate to generate creative ideas, Prototype to create initial products, and Test to test products with potential users. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to the development of environmentally friendly and innovative fashion products. Keywords: Textile Design, Sustainable, Marbling, Batik Tulis, Ready To Wear Deluxe --------------------------------------------------------------------- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali potensi daur ulang limbah tekstil dalam pembuatan produk fesyen ready-to-wear deluxe dengan menerapkan teknik quilting. Dengan latar belakang industri tekstil yang menghasilkan limbah yang besar dan dampak lingkungan yang signifikan, penelitian ini mencoba memberikan solusi berkelanjutan dengan memanfaatkan limbah tekstil sebagai bahan utama. Metode Design Thinking digunakan dalam lima tahapan, yaitu Empathize untuk memahami kebutuhan pengguna dan masalah yang dihadapi, Define untuk menentukan permasalahan yang akan diselesaikan, Ideate untuk menghasilkan ide-ide kreatif, Prototype untuk menciptakan produk awal, dan Test untuk menguji produk dengan pengguna potensial. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan produk fesyen yang ramah lingkungan dan inovatif. Abstract

This research presents an innovation in textile design for casual wear by combining marbling and batik techniques. The state of the art of the problem involves the need for unique and different casual wear, along with the increasing public interest in environmentally friendly and sustainable products. This research aims to produce interesting and unique textile designs and introduce traditional techniques such as batik tulis into casual wear. The method used is IDEO Method Cards, with the stages of Learn to learn marbling and batik tulis techniques, Look to see design inspiration, Ask to ask experts, and Try to try the techniques. The result is a casual fashion collection that is unique, artistic, and environmentally friendly. The recommendation of this research is to encourage further development in the use of traditional techniques in the modern fashion industry. State of art dari permasalahan melibatkan kebutuhan akan busana casual yang unik dan berbeda, seiring dengan meningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap produk yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan desain tekstil yang menarik dan unik serta memperkenalkan teknik-teknik tradisional seperti batik tulis ke dalam busana casual. Metode yang digunakan adalah IDEO Method Cards, dengan tahapan Learn untuk mempelajari teknik-teknik marbling dan batik tulis, Look untuk melihat inspirasi desain, Ask untuk bertanya kepada para ahli, dan Try untuk mencoba teknik-teknik tersebut. Hasilnya adalah koleksi busana casual yang unik, artistik, dan ramah lingkungan. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendorong pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam penggunaan teknik-teknik tradisional dalam industri busana modern. Abstract

The potential strength of traditional West Java batik crafts has grown and developed in 27 regencies/cities spread from the eastern part of the Cirebon district to the western end of West Java, Depok Municipality. The diversity of styles and variations of traditional batik in West Java is a source of strength that is not shared by other provinces. This research uses an empirical juridical approach method or a legislative approach to recognize the regulations that are already running in the community as well as descriptive-analytical research specifications using primary data and secondary data. The superiority of West Java batik has been proven to color the treasury of Indonesian batik along with other traditional batiks. Government support, in this case, the Governor of West Java Province through regulations and Governor's Decree is expected to increase the productivity and glory of traditional West Java batik related to economic potential and as a form of support for the West Java Regional Government in the Regional Cultural Advancement program that has been stipulated in Law No . 5 of 2007. This research is expected to give birth to the decision of the Governor of West Java regarding the use of traditional batik products (original batik) and a variety of typical decoration of West Java batik. West Java society in general.
