Abstract

Pondok Pesantren, the oldest traditional Islamic education institution, grows independently and develops among Muslims in Indonesia. The existence of pesantren has an important role as a pioneer in the spread of Islamic teachings in Indonesia. Islamic boarding schools have three main functions that are always carried out: First, as a center for the regeneration of religious thinkers. Second, as an institution that produces human resource cadres. Third, as an institution that has the power to empower the community. This study aims to analyze the economic potential of Islamic boarding schools, especially in Bangka Belitung. This research uses quantitative methods. The total population in this study was 34 Islamic boarding schools. The data used in this study were primary data. The data were collected through a questionnaire and then went through validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results of this study indicate that the business potential of Islamic boarding schools in Bangka Belitung is very good. This can be seen from the research results showing that 91.18% have business potential, while those who do not have potential are 2.94%, and those with no sure business potential are 5.88%. Human resources (HR) potential in Islamic boarding schools are very good. This can be seen from the educational background, which reaches 74% for undergraduate, 3% for diploma III, and 23% are still at the elementary and high school level.

Abstract

The concept of Islamic banking requires Islamic banks to provide social services through qard funds, zakat, and other donation funds in accordance with sharia principles. One of the fundamental differences between Islamic banks, as well as other Islamic entities and conventional banks, is the use of social funds received by Islamic banks' zakat institutions and then distributed by Islamic banks. The purpose of this paper is to find out how to report sources and users of Islamic bank virtue funds (Study at Bank Muamalat Indonesia). This study uses secondary data sourced from the company's financial statements PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk, namely reports on sources and uses of benevolent funds in 2019 and 2020 taken from the company's annual report. The data analysis method in this study is data reduction, namely summarizing, selecting the main things, presenting data, and verifying/conclusion. The results of the study show that reports on sources of Islamic bank virtue funds come from infaq, alms, the results of waqf management in accordance with applicable laws, returns on productive virtue funds, fines, and non-halal receipts, while reports on the use of Islamic bank virtue funds are used for productive benevolence funds. , donations, other uses for the public interest. Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide education and literacy related to the digitalization of Islamic finance for the Madinatul Ilmi Islamic Boarding School in Sangku Teritip Village, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Island Province. The method used in this service activity is offline training. The evaluation instrument of this service activity used questionnaires and interviews which are then analyzed descriptively. The results of this community service activity show that teachers of Islamic boarding school, staffs, and students of the Madinatul Ilmi Islamic Boarding School have knowledge about the digitalization of Islamic finance and its benefits in growing both micro and macro economic growth. Besides, the result of this activity shows that the clerics have been able to apply digitalization in finance sharia.
