Abstract

Pantai Cermin Kanan Village is one of the villages in Pantai Cermin Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province, located on the east coast of Sumatra Island. Because of this location, the Pantai Cermin Kanan Village has long been recognized by the community as a beautiful beach tourism destination and is visited every weekend and other holidays. The local government has sought to advance the coastal tourism industry in this village by building good access to tourist sites, and equally important is establishing the Pantai Cermin Puskesmas as the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the Tourism Health Center. Based on these data, training is needed that aims to increase the knowledge and ability to conduct Basic Life Assistance (BHD) for the "Lifeguard" community of coastal tourist sites in Pantai Cermin Kanan Village and health workers in the work area of Cermin Beach Tourism Puskesmas as an effort to improve rescue management services first cases of cardiac arrest in drowning victims and emergency cases of cardio respiration. This activity was carried out for 2 days and was attended by 40 participants, consisting of 2 stages, namely the theory and technical practice of BHD on manikin. The results of this activity were an increase in knowledge and ability to do BHD between before and after training (p = 0.00) in the health workforce group. So it was concluded that this activity could help increase knowledge and implementation of BHD and still needed to be continued, especially in the "Lifeguard" community.

Abstract

Sepsis due to bacterial infection in the blood is a serious medical emergency that requires prompt and appropriate treatment. Worsening of this condition can lead to septic shock, which is characterized by severe circulatory and/or metabolic abnormalities, and can lead to death. Pneumonia is the most common cause of sepsis in many reported case reports. NLR can be used as a screening for septic patients because it has better sensitivity and accuracy but is confirmed by blood culture as the standard. The association of organ dysfunction with mortality and high mortality rates in septic patients and the increasing costs in the ICU indicate the need to predict the length of stay of patients to provide information to patients and their families related to the patient's disease prognosis. This prompted this study to find out the relationship between neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and length of stay in patients with sepsis due to pneumonia. This study aims to determine the relationship between neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and length of stay in patients with sepsis due to pneumonia in 2019-2020 in the ICU of Drs. H. Amri Tambunan Deli Serdang. This study used a descriptive analytic method with a cross sectional design. The data was processed using SPSS Chi-Square. The result showed that the relationship between neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and length of stay in patients with sepsis due to pneumonia in 2019-2020 in the ICU of RSUD Drs. H. Amri Tambunan Deli Serdang showed a p-value of 0.0051 (p<0.05). There is a significant relationship between the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and length of stay in patients with sepsis due to pneumonia in 2019-2020 in the ICU of RSUD Drs. H. Amri Tambunan Deli Serdang

Abstract

A person's mental health is a condition that is considered well-being, that is, someone who has prosperous mental health will be able to face and overcome various stresses in normal life. At the University of Gondar in Ethiopia, there are mental disorders that occur in students, especially medical students, symptoms can include psychological pressure such as anxiety and depression. This is caused by additional stress on medical students due to the long-term learning period so they are at risk of exposure to symptoms such as headaches. The aim of this research was to determine the level of stress and headaches of students at the Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra with a sample of 80 students from the class of 2020 and class of 2018. Samples were taken using quota sampling technique. with a cross sectional research design. Sampling using. From the results of the research above, it was found that the number of FK UMSU students class of 2018 and class of 2020 who were respondents based on stress levels was 55 people (68.8%) normal, 9 people (11.3%) mildly stressed, 13 people (16.3%) %) moderate stress, and 3 people (3.8%) had severe stress. Meanwhile, for the degree of headache, it was found that the number of FK UMSU students from the class of 2018 and class of 2020 based on the degree of headache was 7 people (8.8%) never, 30 people (37.5%) headaches did not interfere with daily activities, 31 people (38.8%) had headaches that interfered with daily activities (still working but were disturbed), and 12 people (15.0%) had headaches and needed rest (unable to work) for a total of 80 people (100.0% )
