Abstract

There have been many methods and ways to understand the message of the stories narrated in the Qur’ân, one of which being that which is introduced by the contemporary Muslim scholar named Ah}mad Khalaf Allâh. He is a specialist in the science of the story of the Qur’ân, as it were. This paper deals with this man and his new approach in understanding such story. It highlights the background of the man and the intellectual environment that forced him to offer his new approach. Speaking of stories in the Qur’ân as works of arts rather than as history, the man is considered unique in his own right. The paper slightly compares him to other scientists such as Muh}ammad ‘Abduh, Fakr al-Dîn al-Râzi and al-Naysâbûrî and found that his approach is capable of addressing many problematic issues in the Qur’ân as far as stories are concerned, such as (1) the problem of inconsistence in the narration of the stories, (2) the notion of freedom of expression in the Qur’ân, and (3) the fact that the Qur’ân does entertain the idea of myth (asâtîr). The paper dwells into these three issues.

Abstract

This study investigates grammar education for contemporary generations at Cendekia Al-Ruwaq Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Secondary School, Pandan Duri, East Lombok, during the academic year 2022-2023. The objectives are to assess the teaching practices and identify challenges and solutions encountered in teaching grammar to contemporary generations at this institution. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations focused on teaching activities at Cendekia Al-Ruwaq Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Secondary School, while interviews provided insights into the teaching of grammar. Documentation aided in acquiring information about the school's context. Results highlight teaching practices and challenges faced at Cendekia Al-Ruwaq Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Secondary School, Pandan Duri, East Lombok. This research underscores the importance of addressing contemporary educational needs in grammar instruction.

Abstract

Kosakata merupakan salah satu unsur bahasa terpenting yang harus dimiliki seseorang ketika mempelajari bahasa asing, begitu pula bahasa Arab. Menguasai kosakata bahasa Arab merupakan salah satu kunci dalam mempelajari bahasa Arab. Keterampilan berbahasa Arab yang harus dikuasai meliputi keterampilan menulis, berbicara, mendengarkan, dan membaca, dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab harus memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip bahasa di satu sisi dan prinsip-prinsip pengajaran bahasa di sisi lain. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang datanya berupa angka-angka, untuk menganalisis data yang terkumpul menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah seluruh variabel terikat atau bebas yang ada dalam model berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel terikat atau tidak bebas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 12 orang siswa yang terdiri dari siswi MAPK Syaik Zainuddin NW Anjani. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan atau keterampilan berbahasa Arab berpusat pada pengalaman dan penguasaan kosakata yang kaya dan produktif. Adapun kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah kosakata Bahasa arab memiliki hubungan yang dignifikan terhadap penguasaan materi dan hafalan Al-Quran mempunyai hubungan positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Religious radicalism is a serious problem faced by many countries in the world, including Indonesia. Various efforts have been made by authorities to prevent the emergence of religious radicalism. One model of the efforts for preventing religious radicalism is the assimilation-based model. The purpose of this study is to examine some factors triggering religious radicalism, and the application of the assimilation-based model for the prevention of religious radicalism in Lombok society. This research uses qualitative approach. The data are collected through observation, interview and documentation methods. These data are then analyzed by following Miles and Huberman’s suggestion, consisting of data reduction, presentation and verification. This research finds out that, firstly, the main factor causing religious radicalism is due to lack of education among people; a situation which makes these people easily compromise radical doctrines without further critical thoughts. Secondly, the application of religious radicalism prevention model has to be accompanied by government’s policies and civil’s participation in social, cultural, and economic empowerment. In addition, it is important to conduct religious activities that create good atmosphere for all parties in conflict. This research concludes that religious radicalism can be prevented by social assimilation.
